what's the craziest, most insane thing to ever happen to you?
mine was last night...story time guys.
3 of my best friends and i were at this public park last night. my car was next to his, they smoked a cigarette and we left to play in the park. we spent about 45 minutes to an hour swinging, climbing on jungle gyms, going through the trails...just having a good time. we walk back and my friend jessica goes "david, your car's on fire." and i look over and his car is glowing orange. i thought he just left his interior light on for a second, then i see the flames moving. the guys run over to it, try to put it out, start grabbing shit out of the trunk so try and save it and me and jessica are SCREAMING at them to get back. as soon as they run back a few feet, the back winshield BUSTS open and we run further away and i call emergency. they send a firetruck over and it takes them 15 minutes to get there...all the while i'm waiting for his car to explode and catch MINE on fire, too, which is parked RIGHT NEXT to his. every now and then as we waited for the firetrucks, there is a pop of another winshield. there is so much smoke and we're all flipping out. my friend (whose car it was) is in tears, i'm trying to comfort him, we're all calling our parents and freaking out. the fire truck gets there and they put it all out, and inspect my car with a flashlight to see if there's any damage. miraculously, my car is 100% fine. not even melted paint. smoke POURED over my car constantly for like 15-20 minutes, but no damage. my friend's car, however, is DEMOLISHED. completely burned. he salvaged some stuff when he got stuff out of his trunk but he lost a bunch of clothes, his driver's license, his cellphone, his social security card, all of his school shit, all of his work shit, his paycheck, his boots, his CDs, his cigarettes, a blanket...so much shit...just gone. he saved a hubcap which he then mounted on his wall today. the whole time we were watching his car burn. we kept expecting it to explode like cars do in movies, but he had an empty tank almost, so we were really lucky. everyone who was there is fine, but david lost everything. it was definately the craziest, most surreal and unexpected thing to EVER happen to me.
what about y'all?

9-11 being downtown watching people jump to their deaths.... horrible day
how'd the cars catch fire? the cigarettes?
i'm curious, pro... what kind of car do you drive? first you hit your neighbors car then the car next to yours catches fire and your car is still fine! sounds pretty indestructable to me!
i can't decide what the most crazy/insane to ever happen to me would be. i mean, i can think of a bunch of things but they're all crazy/insane in a different way, and there isn't one that sticks out in my mind more than the others. hmmmm.

Two things...
- I watched my grandmother die of an asthma attack when I was eight years old. Completely helpless. Nothing I could have done. (And no one else was there at the time.)
- I was once mistaken for another person in an airport... prompting the police to surround me, pull their guns, and require me to get down on the ground. I was then searched before they realized that I was the wrong guy. I didn't even get much of an apology.
your mom
also when you said flipped out I thought of ninjas
i swam in the deep end of the pool the other day.
sister died and my dad and me had to ID the body without them cleaning any of her up... she didnt have her license on her at the time... that fukin sucked!
i was at a party back in high school and a guy got so shit faced that when he went to drop a deuce he forgot to pull down his pants. we found him passed out on the toilet at the end of the night. people took pics of him. the house smelled horrible. i was glad it wasnt my house.
30 mins of walking around in Paris, we see cops hiding, following some guys. 5 mins later 4 random ppl hold the guy on the floor so he wouldn't get away. We continue walking, somehow the guy had gotten away again and was again on the floor, but this time the cops held him. Right next to him was a guy bleeding on the floor, his throat had been cut and medics were trying to save his life. It was creepy, seeing the guy dying in front of me. I don't know what happenned to him...
My dad had the brilliant idea of vacationing in Croatia during the war in the 90's. I had the unique experience of pulling over the side of the road as tanks drove by us and all throughout the week a fighter plane or two would fly overhead. I guess it built character ...
Other than that, my house caught on fire in what was a comedy of errors. None of us knew the house was on fire ... it happened around 4am. Some guy driving along saw our house on fire, stopped in the middle of the street, and banged on our door. He then said something like "do you know your house on fire???" to which we sleepily replied, "huh?" After a few more "huhs?" we ran outside to see that our house was indeed the subject of a really splendid blaze. We then ran back into the house and grabbed the fire extinguisher. We pointed it at the fire, depressed the handle, and were rewarded with a pathetic "pssst" of an empty extinguisher. Unbeknownst to me, one of my dumbass roomates had "played" with the fire extinguisher the previous week. Apparentely even shooting a little bit, will result in the pressure for the entire tank being released even if you're not holding down the trigger ... or at least for that tank. Plan B: The garden hose. At that point the fire was of sufficient size to mock us with our mesely garden house and it was quite evident that it was an exercise in futility ... but it was fun playing amateur fireman with our little garden hose (no not the garden hose that some of you perverts may be thinking of).
The first thing we did of course was call the fire department. And considering we lived RIGHT ACROSS THE STREET from a freaking fire station, we were relatively unconcerned. Naturally we wait ... and wait ... and wait, suspiciously eyeing the still-darkened fire station that we could have tossed rocks at. They have the audacity to wake us up at odd hours in the morning with their sirens, and at our time of need ... time for payback for that annoying siren all teh time ... we get nothing. Then, a single solitary fireman casually strolls out of the station seemingly oblivous to our plight. We start jumping up and down, waving, and shouting to him that our house is on fire. The fireman glances over and jumps in shock because the house across the street from the firestation is on fire. He does an immediate 360 and runs back into the firestation. To cut my babbling short, a fire truck from a different firestation arrives at our house before a firetruck from the firestation across the street "got" there. They probably could have run one of those super long ladders from a ladder truck from where they were and fought the fire without even moving their trucks ... but alas they were second on the scene which is one of the most pathetic things I've ever witnessed.
Anyway, the fire made us famous, we got in the news. But to add further insult to injury we were henceforth branded as "homeless" people by the media:

Note some of the discrepancies between the news report and my account. Yes the reporter was a dumbass who got the number of people living in the house wrong, how we learned of the fire wrong, and yes even our street address wrong. Our subsequent living in the house after the fire is also a midly entertaining story, but I'm getting tired of writing.

I was falsely accused of raping a girl I didnt even have sex with.
it lead to death threats and me living in constant fear for my life for a few months.
and when I got mugged, and IDed one of them, but they didnt give up the others who helped(mugged at knifepoint by a dozen or so people).
So the one was in juvi, and then the others saw me and chased me down, only I ran into a pet store and hid in the fish tank area.
