It's All Gone Pete Tong movie?

I posted this in the Chill Out forum, but I wanted to get some local opinions from people in the Midwest. Check it out. I am in no way promoting the website or the film. Obviously, the movie has an insight into the EDM scene. I am interested in opinions on commercial exposure and creating a decent reputation for the EDM scene.

It's All Gone Pete Tong

Thoughts from Midwest TAs?

Wow..... looks good. I intend to see it, whether it be at the theatre or after it is released on DVD.

When does it officially release? I am seeing all kinds of dates.... April 22nd, May 27th.........

Nice avatar BTW.

Thanks! Calvin & Hobbes rule.

I don't know the official release of the film, but it definitly looks decent. I hope it doesn't create too much commercial status for the scene since therre is a fine line between underground status and commercial status. Definitly worth seeing.

Looks really awesome! In some ways I hope it comes to theaters around the midwest, other ways I don't haha. Either way I'm definately seein' this interesting film.

it says it's based on a true story? which story? what does it have to do with pete tong?

it sparked my interest to say the least, i say a clip of tiesto in the trailer, that was cool...storyline seem interesting, i'd watch...or at least netflix it...

It doesn't have anything to do with Pete Tong.

It's a play on words.

From the movie's website:

The phrase "it's all gone Pete Tong" is Cockney rhyming slang that plays off the name of superstar DJ Pete Tong. It means "it's all gone wrong."

This was played here in Madison this past Saturday but, of course, I didn't hear about it until after it was over.

Thought some of you would be interested in this. I'm sure most of you have already seen it on the website; In Evanston, the It's All Gone Pete Tong movie screening HERE.

Posted by buchnaner on May-13-2005 17:07:

I saw it when it was here in Madison and I must say--it is THE BEST film re: EDM that I've seen. the lead actor Tony Kaye eats up the role, he's soooo good. its not only entertaining, but the filmmakers really attempt to display what a DJ does w/ decks and beat matching etc.

I can't wait for everyone here to see it b/c I know you'll all love it

This seems inaccurate...

According the the movie website and several other sources, there are no screenings or releases in Chicago at all until May 20th...

I saw this thread on the 14'th, and chicago shows were supposed to be the 13'th....i was really pissed off! But now, it does indeed seem like the shows are now on the 20'th...

can this be confirmed?

Posted by everything0 on May-16-2005 18:28:

yeah, moved to the 20th. beware of the crowds at the theatres this weekend

Posted by trance-ecj on May-19-2005 21:44:

checked around, looks like theres no more showing in evanston - nothing on the main website or movie listing sites. The main website says there will be a showing in chicago on the 20'th, but i went to get showtimes, and landmarks site says its not till the 27'th...so the question is, who the hell is gonna run around checking to see when and where this is playing besides me and a handful of others? Know one knows what the hells going on

Posted by everything0 on May-19-2005 22:10:

if u can get there on time...
