ULTRA Music Festival 7 - MAINSTAGE - Review + Pics!
Absolutely incredible. I stayed at the mainstage all night. I caught the end of Ferry's set (Classic stuff, most enjoyable.)
Then Liquid Todd came on for...15 minutes? WTF? Whatever. Irrelevant.
Oakenfold: I WAS SHOCKED. He went back in time and played some old tracks and PWNED! No bad shit at all!
Junkie XL - VERY nice set he put together, the guy has some serious energy.
Ti�sto: DAMN. This guy tore it up. And...I GOT MY WISH. He played HIS remix of Force of Gravity. I was with Genny (Thombizznitch) when it happened and almost collapsed. I recorded it on MPEG video. Ti�sto's set amazing. Not as good as the one in Space, of course, but still impressive nonetheless.
And last but defintely NOT least, DA MAN. PAUL VAN DYK. Nothing but hard slamming tunes which included For an Angel (Marc van Linden remix) and his last two were Nothing but You and Time of Our Lives.
What really PISSES ME OFF is the fact that right after TOOL, he was starting to play Gerry Cueto - Messages, then it stopped. 
Anyway, a few pics to come in the next post, but all in all a MUCH better ULTRA than last year!

Nice pics, But I'm not really much in the mood to hear about any reviews from Ultra, I'm still pissed off and upset that I didn't go since non of the people I usually rely on, Weren't able to do me the favor and take me over there after saving a certain amount of money for a month, All this for nothing.

I dont know, but this was not the usual Ultra to me, Ultra totally OWNED this year, seriously.. awesome productions, Tent Set Ups.. it was incredible.. haven experienced anything like this in a long time.... for those that wanted to pass on Ultra.. damm I feel sorry, cause it was definetly one of the best ... I caught some of Armin.. eeehh.. bored me and I went to Ferry.. caught the end which he played Out Of The Blue.. I died right there. Then Oakenfold came on, and he played more like a tiesto'ish style.. not so much he's style, more commercial, BUT, great non-theless, I dont comment on mixing, just songs and stuff.. he really had it.

Allright, so most of my friends didnt like him, perhaps because they were hanging out in the back and not doing anything... but, I was lucky enough to be hanging out relatively close in the middle center... daaammmm.... TIESTO THREW IT DOWN, Hands Down, I mean.. WoW, to me, I see why he's number one, he threw bomb after bomb, he played my song, Blank & Jones - perfect silence ( e-craig remix ).. force of gravity, among a bunch of others and a couple of the usuals... jeeezusssss!!!!!!! Tiesto Hands DOWN, definetly, one of the best sets, if not, THE BEST set...
PvD .. another one, the man was bringing it big time, definetly a close second, but def. among the best.. full of energy, the way the closing of one of the best events should be, PvD the Grandfather!
I only caught the end of Junkie, was pretty good..
as of Christopher Lawrence.. the guy has it !! just WoW..
Saw some of Carl Cox, the guy was throwing it nasty heh..

Shit man! To bad i couldnt make it this year, i missed a lot of fun. From what im reading it seems that Tiesto was the man of the night
, glad to hear that my favorite Dj hit it up this year, and then again im still fucking pissed that i didnt go, well glad to hear many of you had a blast and that this year your money to go was worth it

Thanks DA for being so quick to give a review and pics!! I SOOO wish I coulda been there.... next year fur sure....
It's soooo good to hear that PVD and Tiesto are making come backs and getting good reviews....

I got to Ultra much later than i had in the past cause of work but I got to see the people I wanted in the main stage still.
And WOW Ferry owned me again as usual!I was kinda dissapointed I didnt go to see him Friday night, but yeah this made up for that.
I agree with most of you, while Ultra really hasnt been all that the last 2 years compared to be4, this years was simply awesome, the vibe felt better this year i dunno, and unlike last years, I noticed that my g/f was alot more into it this year.
Tiesto was solid as usual, PVD had its moments where I was like hell yeah,when he threw down Jesselyn-Omnia that owned me cause I like that kinda hard trance sound.
oh and I digged Junkie XL, never seen him be4 but he was aight, red pill blue pill haha
so mainstage kicked ass overall ("DA" liquid todd has done these little short warm up sets be4 oakie in the past as well 
)
off topic but I also had a great time in the Breaks stage and a spent a little bit in the DnB.bass

Ha, did anyone else see Ricky Martin shaking his bon bon up there during PvD's set? He was really getting into it......plus he was loving all the attention he was getting from the right side of the stage. Pretty hilarious.

well, I only bumped into art arround the main stage area for like 5 minutes.
Carl Cox is the sweetest guy ever, the Dnb tent guys literally told me the better spots to take video and pics, the main stage guys can lick my nutz, and so on

i didnt get to ultra until about 6:00 partly because my dumbass decided i should drive home after space on friday night because i got bored to death by pvd's set. we got in with only about a 10-15 minute line for the tickets pickup. first year in many that i did not have a problem at all with my ticket. there was no line to get in really. waited 5 minutes and then we were in. waited about 30 minutes to use a bathroom. got a time slot schedule and noticed that 50% of the people i wanted to see had already played. when will i learn to get to ultra early.
so we headed to the main stage after the crazy bathroom line. oakenfold was on. he was spinning some nice hard trance. he throws it down every other ultra. last year he sucked, but ultra 5 (damn that set was crazy). he spun some real nice tunes and was a nice warmup for the night.
then junkie xl came on. wasnt feeling a lot of the slower shit he was doing. but when he started throwing on the beats, it was nice. the quality of the sound of his set was unbelievable. ive never heard such clean breaks. he threw on the same usuals from last year which was expected. i liked when they had everything turned off like it was done and he threw on the last verse of fight for your right.
and then there was TIESTO...............
he did not waste any time. from the first minute, he was on fire. his track selection was perfect. only maybe 2 or 3 songs in the set where i found myself sitting down. the last half of his set was amazing. from when he played 'love comes again' and to the ending with adagio, i was dying. that was a killer set.
after tiesto, we decided to just leave and head back. it just seemed right to leave on such a high note and beat all the traffic. plus pvd left a real sour taste in my mouth after friday night.
pissed off i missed a bunch of people. sonds like corsten brought the house. we heard out of the blue when we were getting our tickets. how was nu nrg? avb? bt? did anyone happen to see dj k-swing? i also wanted to see dj santana.
a very smooth ultra nonetheless.
