What can I possibly say about the best live set I've ever heard...

I have mixed feelings about the night in general. It took me an hour to get down to the dancefloor because of the crowd control they had going. I was pissed while I was waiting but once on the floor it made sense. Unkle's set was very slow and uneventful, I noticed a lot of boos. Had to feel bad for the guy, but I was ready for Sasha and Digweed. (I was also really pissed about missing Zabiela due to the extended wait to get in, and the fact that the dicks made me finish the roll of film in my camera for fear of *gasp* taking a fucking picture inside.)

Digweed came on at 2:20, played some really smooth typical Diggers style beats. Sasha walks up around 2:30 or so and you could instantly tell that 75% of the audience was there for him. I think Digweed knew it too because he departed for prolonged periods of time, letter Sasha tear it up alone. In fact about 90% of the night was Sasha alone, the times when Digweed was up there he was just playing around, shooting some video footage, not really doing much.

Their set though, beyond the shadow of a doubt, was the best live set I've ever heard. I probably say that about every event, but after last night I can see why those two are legendary. I've heard the recording and read the reviews, but if you've never seen them together it is impossible to understand. I've seen both of them alone before, but that was the first time together. Granted, the set was mostly Sasha, but still. Best set EVER. I recognized a grand total of two songs for the entire 2.5 hours, and don't even know their names. Working on IDing them now...

If anyone was able to smuggle in a camera post the pics here, the laser show was INTENSE. Oh, and I'll sell my first born child for a copy of this mix if it was recorded

All in all, event total: 8/10 because of the wait, missing Zabiela, Unkle's awful set, and their dickish 'no camera' rule.
Sasha and Digweed though: 15/10. No, 100000000/10. Perfection.

The set was pretty good... the waiting in line and trying to get to the floor just pissed me off so much.. got to the floor like @ 3 ..

Schiller -glockenspield ( some remix )

The killers .. the one that talks about Kiss or something..

I feel Love .. some remix

and other classic dance songs with remixes, among other niec ones..

The set was just another level, it was someting else, Not bad, but perhaps beyond our dance knowledge.. still, it was something wow.. I liked it.

The show overall... damm, I dont know, but organization was CRAP!!!

I hope they drop some of those tunes when they play in NY this week...

What were they doing w/people who had digital cameras, if they made u finish off your film?

I had my digital camera and the guy who patted me down didn't say anything

awesome music..but the disorganization they had at will call was insane..the week would've been a 10/10 if it wouldn't have been for that 1 hour wait in line, that wasn't really a line rather a mosh pitt..

It was crazy. I was in line for about 5 minutes when the cops decided to organize the line (or disorganize it more) and all of a sudden I was next in line. Well I did not complain. After all I was in line at Space for 2.5 hours the night before.

you were lucky to wait in line for 5 mins b/c i had just finished getting my tickets when the cops decided to take care of the situation or so they said, i just looked at one of them and i was like dude you so dont have undercontrol or else this wouldve never happened..im a pretty reasonable and patient person, had no complaints throughout the week, but the fact that im like 5'2 and kept being squeezed like a sardine for an hour just drove me insane..Lol..but it's all good now


like i said before over all it was a great week i give it a 9/10

I dunno what people did with their digicams. I tucked my little disposable camera between my belt and stomach but they found it anyway (got into ultra that way, I guess I had bad luck with security at AA).

Second to last song was The Killers - Mr. Brightside (Jacques du Cont mix), not sure if I mentioned that already...

dude that line/mob to get your hard ticket was ridiculous. i'm 5 feet and being part of that mob was not something i enjoyed at all. but the setup inside was gorgeous. all those lasers...and the ac! and the music! too bad they were actually doing crowd control. i stayed in the seats area during the hour i was there. glad to hear it was a banging party despite what happened with organization outside.
on a side note, i had no trouble getting my camera in, but they did make me throw away the bag that came with the ultra shirt i bought :-(

Sasha was so experimental. I didn't enjoy this night at all. The line at the place was a joke. There were no signs saying which line to get on (there were a total of 6 seperate lines)



James Z - Good
Digweed - Boring
Sasha - Didn't focus his set. If he wanted to be experimental and fucked up with deep beats then he should of not played Schiller -glockenspield and a couple of other tracks. Digweed and Sasha were playing as if they had 13 hours to perform.
Unkle - A joke...... a bad joke
Hernan - He rocked! I would of rather seen him all night.

The people selling the tickets and working will call were idiots. He was counting the tickets like (one.............. ticket ................... two ............... tickets..........) When everyone started pushing it was like a riot!

couldnt even get to WILL CALL...or inside...fuckin crowd was HORRENDOUS. im gonna go complain to wantickets

The will call line was absurd. Oue entire group left after 30 minutes of that BS and went back to party at our hotel.

I'm very disappointed in the lack of preparation and organization at the arena. I guess in the future you have to leave Ultra 45 miutes early to be able to get into the after party....
... that doesn't make much sense does it?

umm good thing i went to FUCK ME IM FAMOUS @ MANSION, that was sooo much better

Actually, just buy the ticket @ Ultra or upfront instead of buying pre-sales.. they were the same price anyways.
