Confused Suburban Trainwreck

anyone else have this track and end up playing a stampede half the time they mix it? or is it just my rent-a-dj belt decks?

ive gotten a few good mixes with the track but the ones that go sour seem impossible to fix and result in a good swift fader slap

I think its just something that various amoung DJs, I find that track fairly easy to mix, but I have others I find so dam hard, and other DJs find them easy, so I think it just various, probably todo with everybodys hearing being different.

Not sure about the track in question **Shields himself from incoming objects** but Im with DannyO on this one. There were a few tracks that I could just not mix with out it trainwreckin. As I've gotten better though I like to go back and try to mix those tracks and a few of them I've mixed and a few I dont even try with because my style that I mix has changed as well.

The outro is just straight beats and bass for like 2 minutes, how could that be so hard to mix?
The intro is almost similar, only in reverse...

This is true, as long as you are listening for the beats. However the bass in the becinning is slightly off rythm and doesn't fall in with the rest of the track until about 8 phrases into the track and this may be the cause of it. Just a question of either learning to deal with it, or mixing somewhere else in the track.

Traffic does this a little too for somepeople, including Tiesto himself if you say his first DVD.

All you have to do is actually get used to listening for the things that are constant in the tune and you should be able to match anything.

Cheers
Nem

Not really, it's just heavily reverbed...

traffic easy to mix into, pain in the ass to mix out of unless its adaigo of strings or just be, marketing strat? I think so!

In the headphones I decrease the volume to the level just loud enough to hear hi-hats. Mixes fine.
