The Slurpee Poll Thread

Which is the Best Flavour/Combination of Flavours of Slurpee?


also.. what is your preferred Size?


Small
Medium
Large
Super

for me.. its usally Large.. however sometimes go for Super and purchase two straws.

and as far as flavours/Colours go, combination of Coke and Raspberry or sometimes replace Raspberry with Orange of Lemon/Mountain Dew.. Sometimes there is Pineapple and Grape.. but not often anymore..

Whats your choice?

Also... What store do you usually purchase at, and which stores contain which flavours, cause i havent seen Lime for a helluva long time, or blue.. so hopefully we will beable to get a list of stores and they're flavours... an encyclopaedia of slurpee stores if you will..

In discussion of slurpee... raspberry is my favourite at the moment only due to the fact that they took away mountan due at my local... cola is shithouse and has a terrible cola flavor, so is that filthy blue one... tastes like cheap imported showbag lollies.

I am also not into combinations... call me boring but i feel the flavours are best enjoyed on there own...

2 clams on a hot day could not be better spent

Large.. mostly raspberry with a bit of cola

come on... an extra 30 cents and youve halved the likelihood of 'sucking it dry' (you know where it turns all white and flavourless) before you've got your fill. extra large all the way.

also, i get most of mine from the 7-11 at swanston and grattan... it being 30 seconds stroll from my office and all.

if only slurpees came with those 'suck it and see' straws you get from boost juice, life would be perfect.

it's all about the precise layering [bottom to top]
coke/cream sode or bubble gum/lemon-lime.
or
coke/strawberry fruitopia.
You get a little bite along with the sweetness if coke is on the bottom.
But as a stoner, I've found there's also a desired method of consuming your slurpee if it is layered. Begin at the top layer, suck, while moving the level of the straw downward to get all the flavours in one shot. This is also why it's important to have coke on the bottom. That sharp aftertaste cleanses the mouth in preparation for the next slurp.

I'm a fan of Raspberry. Usually medium or large size..

spot on... but the trick i reckon is not to put the coke in first... oh no. the trick is to put the raspberry (or whatever) in first, but then kick the coke on full tilt (once you've vented the lever away from the cup so it spits out the melted stuff of course) so it goes in, through, and under the raspberry. that way you've also got a proper blend of the two up top.

at my store its actually called Coburg Convenience Store, and its own3d by the biggest shazza ever and we dont have slurpees, just frostiees or something of that nature...same shit
flavours orange, cola, raspberry and lime.

Soups are you planning a Melbourne Slurpee Crawl or something? Or is there a secret flavour you are hunting for?

I usually get slurpees from the city 7-11's as already mentioned, sometimes from Glenferrie but from memory they just have raspberry, cola, lemon & blue. I'll have to checkout the flavours on Fitzroy & Acland Sts

dont plan on heading out to Coburg Convenience store, especially now they have Frostees and not Slurpees

had the best ever slurpee this morning.. it was 8:10am so it was probably a bit early for slurpees, but hell the consistency was sooooooooo good....

too many of these and i think ill be DJ Diabetes...

the morning after two tribes i remember going from 7-11 to 7-11 trying to find one that had their slurpee machines going, it seemed to be that exact half-hour where every 7-11 across town shuts their machines down to clean them. boo!

My local 7 - 11's are

elizabeth st (near cnr of bourke) : rasberry, lemon, orange and coke.
melb central: rasberry, lemon, blue and coke.
cnr of bourke and swanston: rasberry and coke.
cnr or elizabeth and flinders: rasberry, coke, lemon, orange and lime.

I had 2 super rasberry slurpees today and my stomach feels like its trying to digest itself.

The raspberry at Elizabeth (near cnr Bourke) was pretty good today
