wow... is all i can say...

we got to state at around 11:30 and the club was already really busy...

as we walked in we got a free steve porter CD and there no were absolutely no hassles at the door as this party was FREE!

the decorations for this party were sick, lots of PORTERHOUSE signs and visuals on the walls everywhere. also there were sooo many hot girls too.

miami locals phil and fluff were on and playing really groovy funky house.

at 12:30, avalon boston resident eli wilkie took over and just ripped it up. he played really big records and an awesome mix of miami vice which tore the place apart.

at 1:45 this bon johnson character, jumps on stage in a fur coat and mullet with 2 back-up dancers and sings 2 songs... i haven't decided if it was the coolest thing i've seen or the most disturbing, either way it rocked the party and set things up for STEVE PORTER.

PORTER got on at 2:00am and just came out banging and took the energy level through the roof, the club was rammed at this time. PORTER's porterhouse was musically unreal... nothing like i had heard at conference, high energy, clever, danceable, trancey, bottom heavy, positive party rocking tunes... it was literraly out of this world and everyone seemed to be enjoying it as I saw mike from hybrid on the dancefloor, chris fortier, dj three, donald glaude, john digweed, luis diaz, MV, john digweed, sasha's dad to name a few.

PORTER ended at 5:00 with a brilliant last track. the whole place chanting for one more last track jumping up and down.

then PORTER put on BUST A MOVE by YOUNG MC. and the whole place was singing along grooving away. such a night of positive fun music.

this party was off the hook, if you missed it

i hope some other TAs managed to check it out...

darn missed this one. had to go to space because we just were supposed to. but i keep hearing this was a great party. thank goodness porter lives in ny now. i'm sure that guy has many more years of great parties ahead of him. btw, his new cd is great.

Glad you had fun, really sorry I missed this one. I was too wasted from that nikki beach disaster to do anything Friday night
