A little diversity.... Note: Image heavy...

(2.6MB total cumulative filesize)

Gday,

A few of you have expressed interest in my graphics since the poor excuse of a website I put up ages ago (lol, I never even finished it!) and thanks to for the feedback

Anyway, to add a little diversity to the boards and to make up for my laziness, here's most of the best stuff I've done over the past few months.

It's just something I muck around with in my spare time... I had a choice a few years ago between learning fruityloops/reason or computer graphics and this is where the direction went.

If you have any feedback feel free to let me know.

P.S. These pics are in my native desktop res so sorry if they don't fit...

So on to the piccies

These first few pics are models that I've made but haven't rendered them into any scenes. So simply some shots of the models.

During the day, I'm studying aerospace engineering and for my major project last year I designed a UAV (unmanned aerial vehicle)

My girlfriend is from Switzerland, the land of banks and cheese...

And another abstract picture

One of the first models I made with a new program, a simple aerosol can.

And a space based laser satellite, Grazer 1 anyone?

Now, the best part of this program that I seem to use it for is in modelling tech based spaceships...

Homeworld anyone?

This one actually is a frame from an animation involving all these spaceships...

This is the last model I made, a sort of corvette class warship

This one I actually entered into a competition... And won

And finally, the lucky last... the Wraith from above coming in for repairs...

Enjoy

Haha! wow! cheers guys!

Battletech/mechwarriors yes, but all the spaceships aren't from star wars/trek/babylon... I used to play an old school space trading game called escape velocity on the mac in '96 still an awesome game, even nearly 10 years on!

Yeah I had a go at 3DSMax and thought exactly the same, the interface is a bit difficult to comprehend... Same with Maya, it's pretty much the thing of choice for all the really high end stuff, but LW is the probably a good step between Bryce & Maya. I still cant get my head around the 'node' stuff for the Maya interface and the courses run into the thousands of $$ for it...

Bryce is good because you can get some nice looking pictures with not terribly much effort, but to get something awesome, it's a bit difficult in bryce lots of tweaking and you're quite limited for complex scenes.

Lightwave is my program of choice atm... Still bryce for landscapes/natural scenes but LW has a much better renderer and modeller (lol, over Bryce's almost non existent one!) for just about anything else.

Psygnosis, once you've done ur bike, you gotta show it off I'll make one too

lol, Escape velocity yep, played the port, EV Nova, finished it playing all of the governments! finished all of the EV's I rekon Nova is the best... I have wasted countless weeks playing that stoopid game, and for what? just a few more credits for just a few more missiles

lol, so yeah, thats why all the spaceships

Anyone else got any graphics to share?

best thing about that game was the amount of mods made for it

star wars one was the best
