Dancing Dude Very Nice

Once the 2nd minute came around this track sprung out a beautifull melody. The kick is a tad hard but i still like it. Great sound.

I like. This would be a great chillout song if slowed down and chilled-out...

Nice and energetic. Thanks for sharing

Link doesnt work for me Any chance you could fix it ?

Posted by DjCommisad on Mar-30-2005 19:20:

fix that kick for sure, too messy and too harsh. sharpen it up and re-master this track. def. has those matthew adam's 'introspective' synths though. not bad overall.

*edit*
i posted the above before hearing the whole track.
3:06, turns into a bootleg almost. sounds like you're mixing both tracks at the same time and that you're slowly losing the beat match. watch the EQing if that's what you did, the sounds clash a bit too much between the two tracks.

Posted by dEEkAy on Mar-30-2005 19:30:

Commisad is kinda right...sounds like a LiveBootleg?

Posted by NickPilon on Mar-30-2005 21:24:

Deekay, I don't know why the link don't work for you. I'll check. Maybe try Right click and Save as.

Thanks Tonyz!

DjCommisad, "too messy and too harsh" I'm a french guy. Can you explain these words? really appreciated your comments. I'll check my kick and the mix at 3:06.

It's a kind of bootleg
I change some patterns and mix the two versions in the track and add a little sound kick and a snare.

messy, as in, doesn't sound right, sounds

Posted by trance-ecj on Mar-31-2005 02:51:

Yah the kick is too much, and you have it oscilating or something? Cool effect but bring the reverb and highs down a good amount. It really ruins the whole song, for a spilt second at 1:29 is actually was quite and sounded good.

The drop sounded rushed and like shit. The voices going ahh ohh sound like shit, to fast for one and cheesy #2, at least stretch them out with some delay.

what the hell goes on around 3:30-3:40 you tell me, too much conter melodies man. You don't want to confuse the listerer. The breakdown at 4 was wack, two things went on and sounded wierd.

Again at 5:30 just sounds funky, the stuff u added made it all complex and no fade out sounds like crap. Use some finess and mix the stuff out with care like the pro'z do.

Production is all about details, and you have a overall project, but any project blows without details. You need to work on the little things, all the subtle details.

Having renamed myself from MatthewAdams back to "dEEkAy" recently here on TA I gotta say I like the idea you've done to my version. Actually mine would have sounded similar but well, couldnt do it..

anyway...ive made a second remix of it which is never to be published:

anyway, dont wanna threadjack

Flashback, ok true, my kick sound a bit to dry. I'll check each things you've said and made a new version. My ear seems not much developpe then I thought. Like your last comments. Thanks.

Djcommisad, ok good.

Thanks for the help.

dEEkay, not bad at all your second version. Why it could't be release??

This is Bootleg??

Don't like me

Greetzzzz

I will be giving you a brief overview of the track while I listen to it. I will not pause any of it so I can get the full effect as well.

*started*

:27 I am digging the synths that you add in beat is sounding good

:52 you add in something a bit early it seems good vocals trance like humming vocals after that drop

1:22 Awsome bass drop

1:52 Sounds like you have introspection along with alt-f4 playing there. Introspection sample. Synths sound almost the same but no problem I dig it.

Add a bass drop at 2:33

and @ 3:00.

Awsome part when you bring it all back together.
you might want to bring out those vocals in the back ground.
sounds better at 3:30 but you can barely hear them back there.

around 3:45 it sounds like the bassline drags a bit behind the beats.

4:10 add a bass drop

4:23 add bass drop again :P

4:51 add another one hehe

5:00 it sounds like the high hats are off a bit. Bring out those vocals in the background again here. I love them but can barley hear them

5:35 OH damn that sounds awsome what you did with the synths.

5:48 now this sounds very very good
6:13 The BASS drop

and the closing part with a BASS DROP WOOT!

In all the parts that I said add a bass drop and you have one bring it up more and drop the other basslines just to get a better effect.

That is my 2cents Enjoy

your kick has some massive phasing on it i dont know if you meant to or not but yeah it has some massive phasing. also work on eqing it alot better as at the 3:50ish mark it sounds like a avb asot mix ie shit but then gets better i dont know id just suggest working your eq more use some parametric eqing to help clean it up some and work on the beatmatching and itd be alot better imo.
