Monkey Dancer 2 Hello tranceaddicts!!!

I'm new here. I am 34 in the Dayton, OH area. I recently got XM satellite radio and my radio is pretty much stuck on channel 82 (the system)

I don't know much about trance other than I now really like the music. have been listening to Victor Dinaire's future progression (recording all 4 hours to my archos jukebox recorder) to listen to at work.

I also have recorded to some streams of Suzy Solar, Paul Van Dyke and Paul Oakenfold.

I am a little past my prime to go "clubbing"

Anyway I have a napster account and looking for suggestions of the "essentials" to buy to get my feet wet.

This site seems to be a wealth of good infomation. I like up tempo tracks, really keeps the day moving at work (I build computers all day, BOOORING!!!! at a large SYSTEM building company)

Anyway, thanks

Never too old to go clubbing but 34 isn't even remotely past your prime. Anyway, just listening or being on the scene, it's all good so welcome aboard = )

haha 34, man some of the top DJs I see are older than you, so no, your not that old.

Welcome to the boards though man, and yes, this site is probably the best place on the net for EDM information, but don't take anything here to seriously.

Well maybe 34 isn't too old, but we only have only one "true" club here in Dayton and you could fire off a cannon there and not hit anyone. I have been to a couple clubs in Cleveland in the flats, but I'm married and wife and I no longer hang out in clubs and bars and such.

So I have to get my groove on while driving (but I have a 45 min commute, enough to listen to a set) then my slave labor time at work.

To have a good time with the music, you don't need to go to some crappy club, just pump the tunes out into the back garden, and chill there all day with some mates and beer and a BBQ, be sure to play some Chicane tunes aswell man, I'm talking total bliss, weed will also be good, but doubt the misses will approve.

it feels a lot better when you are around other people who share your interest in a specific genre of musik. in ohio, trance is almost non-existant.

Correction, in Ohio, music is almost non-existant. Here our choices of radio are limited to clear channel, radio one, or cox. That's why I got XM, I got tired of hearing the same 5 songs over and over in between commercials

XM, a great invention

but if u really want to experience the scene, u gotta take a vacation during a huge event like WMC in miami or somethin in NYC or california.
