Smiley DJ Danny Howells : GU027 : Miami

quote:
From Resident Advisor:
Danny Howellss first proper Global Underground album release is set in the beautiful beach city of Miami. Having already released a successful Nu-Breed and 24/7 mix for the label the 34 year old from Hastings in Sussex will champion his own captivating style that has enthralled so many around the world.

The Second CD, is based on the set that Danny played in the main room at Space in Miami in October 2004, whilst the first CD offering replicates the grooves that was rocking the terrace as the sun came out over the bay. Speaking about the first CD Danny says "Its sunny, warmer, sexy a bit funkier as well" Singiling out the balmy deep house of Mimosas End Of Me. "It really sums up how I interpret the terrace at Space. A pure sunshine track, really beautiful". The full tracklisting is a blend of old underground classics and exciting new sounds unheard by the majority of us.

His set from Room in September 2003 is still probably the best set I've ever seen in my life. Bring on June...

2004-10-03? that was a nice set. OS - still rox me jox.

anyway, slipping headphones on now.
cd1 inserted, subway - thermal here we go!

Posted by Sly_Guy on Mar-31-2005 15:52:

Is this Miami GU similar to Desyn's WMC set?

I really wasn't feeling Desyn's set from last weekend, it wasn't pounding enough for me, but then again my ears may have been tainted from the last couple sets I've heard him throw together....

I reckon I'll grab GU 27 either way...
