Yeah, I also got the previous comps and definitely gonna buy this one too. This might be the best one yet, some really huge classics and some really nice new tracks...

Man this looks really really good. I have actaully never heard of this series, so i did a little research and i ran into volumes 1 and 2 as well. They both look damn good along with Angles-Chill trance essentails! But man they are like 30 bucks everywhere, and i dont see an import tag on them, any one know they deal with these CDs, plus any website were i can get them for normal cd price here in the states!

Is the Reflekt track a remix, or is it actually the original mix? I don't think I've ever heard the original even mentioned.

Tracklist looks very tasty on this 3rd one as well just like with the previous ones but my only complaint again is about the editing & sequencing of tracks.. The double CDs are being said to have "essential long versions" or something like that but actually none of the tracks are full length.. all are either edited or stupidly sequenced.

All'n'all this as well as the 'Angels-chill trance essentials' series is well worth purhcasing anyway, even with the freakin edits. Will get this one when i can.

Yeah, I hear you. In many places they claim that the compilation has uncut long versions which really isn't true. The sequencing they use between some tracks pisses me off too. It's really annyoing when a track is about to end and then you hear the next track mixing in even though it's usually only for a few seconds. I could live with those slightly shortened versions if they just ended each and every track properly like it really was an unmixed cd...

Who's responsible for the mixing of this comp? That tracklist looks quite good.

It's basically unmixed... but there are no gaps between the tracks and in some cases the tracks are mixed together for a few seconds, for example, if a track ends with a crash cymbal you can still hear it even though a new track has already begun. Or at least that was the case with the previous comps.

cd 2 looks amazing!

Okay okay, so here's the deal about the so-called mixing and editing.
I've compiled these CD's.
And I can assure you that on CD 1 there has been absolutely NO EDITING AT ALL! And yes on CD 2 some tracks have been edited for about 30" (1' for Lotus). Otherwise you would only have 8 tracks/CD
The tracks on the vinyl sampler are also UNEDITED.
And as for the sequencing, it just seems right to me if you're going to listen to this at home or in your car. What's the use of 3 minutes of fades and cymbals/CD ? That leaves room for 1 extra track/CD.
And I really think that there is enough material for a CD DJ to mix
it properly.
Other than that, thank you very much for the compliments.
And as for Chicane, we've been trying to get it for about 3 years
now but the labels keep fighting each other so we'll have to wait a bit more. Same goes for Jam & Spoon.
If everything goes well, there will be a Angels Vol. 2 by the start of the summer

^ nice!

and the cd rox

I think this cd comp is really good. The tracks are virtually unmixed to be honest. The digipack is also very cool.

It always make me laugh that in the UK there seems to be no such thing as an unmixed compilation.. yet in other parts of europe there are plenty! I personally loathe mixed comps and would rather hear 9 tracks from the very first kick drum to the end crescendo any day!

Thank goodness for import and Juno

A quality product.

i've got vol. 1 and it's good. the tracklist somehow looks better than it sounds though, but i'm not complaining as it has one of my favorite tracks ever, cass & slide - perception (vocal mix). vol. 2 didn't really appeal to me that much, but it was ok nonetheless, i could maybe buy it if i'd find it somewhere for about 15 or so.

these are maybe my fav tracks on this compilation and definitely make this one worth buying. do you perhaps know a good/cheap place in finland to buy it from?

this on the other hand i cannot understand. it's just plain horrible. i don't get it how so many people praise this crap. the vocals are absolutely hideous. they sound like some american "alternative" pop to me. the vocals sound so amateurish and the lyrics are stupid. this track sounds so out of place on this compilation IMO, but as most seems to like it i guess it serves its purpose here then.

well on cd2 there's one of my absolute favorites on this release "chab - closer to me (renaissance mix)" and that's been edited by 1:23, but i can live with it though.

there's not really that much unmixed compilations anywhere else either. this is one of the few ones which hasn't ruined the tracks totally by editing/sequencing. there's a lot of compilations released in central europe that seem unmixed, but are totally ruined by stupid sequencing. cds released by Independance Records and Decadance Recordings are IMO the worst kind. the tracklists look good and unmixed, but they're totally ruined with sequencing (i've been disappointed myself too many times with these).
i agree with you 100% and i'd like to see more unmixed compilations with quality tunes too, but i feel they're going down in popularity with cd-singles fast atm. which is too damn bad.

edit: LOL, what a god damn marathon post this one became!
