ok people confess...who was a grunge rocker?
tta was
had some flannel shirts and hole-y jeans -- negative on the long hair
i used to listen to nirvana
. And a lot of my jeans still have holes.

| I wrote her off for the tenth time today And practice all the things I would say But she came over I lost my nerve I took her back and made her dessert Now I know I'm being used That's okay man cause I like the abuse I know she's playing with me That's okay cause I got no self esteem We make plans to go out at night I wait till 2 then I turn out the light All this rejection's got me so low If she keeps it up I just might tell her no When she's saying that she wants only me Then I wonder why she sleeps with my friends When she's saying that I'm like a disease Then I wonder how much more I can spend Well I guess I should speak up for myself But I really think it's better this way The more you suffer The more it shows you really care Right? Yeah yeah yeah Now I'll relate this little bit That happens more than I'd like to admit Late at night she knocks on my door Drunk again and looking to score Now I know I should say no But that's kind of hard when she's ready to go I may be dumb But I'm not a dweeb I'm just a sucker with no self esteem |

i saw nirvana open up for the red-hot chili peppers.
never was into the grung culture even tho i listened to 'hole - pretty on the inside' album (my first cd) before courtney got hitched to cobaine, and L7.
my brother saw a show way back in the early 90s that had red hot chili peppers, smashing pumpkins and pearl jam before they got big.
wtf!

Man, I had a big flashback when BT opened with Nirvanna - Smells like Teen Spirit on NYE. This was in Seattle of all places, and was much appreciated by the crowd.
Ok, half that appreciation was because Dave Armstrong was playing the likes of "Techno Fur Elise" and shit like that.
But i digress, opening with grunge in Seattle is a very cool thing to do.
Damn, I think I was in 5th grade when all of this stuff was going on.
I do remember those days..
Did'nt like it then and still don't
Just happy it's over
I was a wannabe.
Nothing has changed.
The last great period in rock history.
