Uhh, considering that the subway goes by a bunch of houses by High Park I doubt that'll ever happen.

Some Streetcars that run 247 run past A LOT of houses and I know for DAMN SURE some of those things are louder than the subway....

OMG...I have no words...what a retarded system!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

This is how I feel about the TTC lately --->

Let's go sheppard subway #2...WOHOO!!!

Posted by rabbitjoker on Apr-01-2005 14:25:

I say the city needs an Eglington subway or even a Lakeshore subway well before some expansion to cater to YorkU students.

We all know why the Sheppard line was built (Mel's neighbourhood) and it's been a damn flop and waste of money.

Exactly what I'm saying...no disrespect to Mel or anything but I just think TTC is brutal either way....strikes, budget problems, salary issues...but hey...let's build another line! GREAT IDEA!

They have been talking about this extension for 20 years. At this rate we may have a viable subway system in Toronto by 2145.

Pathetic. Oh yeah they are still building the 404 25 years after they started it too. Back in the 50s it took them what, 5 years to build the entire length of the 401?

this is typical in Canada...

so many highways leading to nowhere, unfinished, underbudgeted, etc etc...

So many highways in the MTL region are uncompleted, the whole city looks uncompleted...

politicians have no guts to spend these monies, they prefer giving us a "25$ yearly tax break" hahahaha

I live right by a street car route thats 24 hours, as well as a bus route thats 24 hours. I'm pretty sure subway would be louder, and more annoying if it ran every 5 minutes.

And thats what city life is all about. Subways, traffic, streetcars, and 24 hour living and the noise that comes with it.
