wisdom teeth

I'm getting them taken out in a little over 30 mins and I'm terrrrified! I've never been operated on, and the bottom ones are "embedded in my jawbone" so they need to really cut them out... they're putting me to sleep, which is scary in its own rite since my mom can die if they give her anesthetic!!!

I hardly got any sleep last night I'm so nervous omg i'm terrified! wish me luck, and if i die, i love you all but i dont like the atl/southeast ta thing going on

And think of it this way: you should get legally prescribed vicodin for the pain afterwards. You should be happy about that. Get to feel nice and numb all the time like me. Weeeeeeeeeeeeee.

I feel your pain. I just had 2 root canals done the week before WMC. I have to go back and get my wisdom teeth out, mine are actually impacted. I can tell you that you won't feel any pain and look on the bright side you won't be in any more pain.

I had my wisdom teeth (all 4) taken out last august and it wasn't that bad AT ALL... I basically ate painkillers and slept for a week... I was home too so I had my whole family waiting on me... LoL, kinda fun actually. Good Luck!

what is this, TA surgery week??

i just had my shoulder operation yesterday, sux

turns out it was more messed up then expected, so a 1 hour surgery turned into 2

now theyre saying i cant even start physical therapy for 2 weeks, hafta keepit completely immobilized.... and i hafta stay in a sling for another 2-3 weeks after that too... :icrymuch:


this is gonna put a serious hinderance on partying




good luck with the wisdom teeth tho ambs!!! i'm sure you'll do fine, i've had mine out before too, not terrible at all

OMFG ambs... are you allright ?!?!.. I have to take mine out, so I hope you tell me it was all smooth .. I hate that taking out teeth operation

well surgery went alright... laughing gas is good stuff haha! i was nervous and by the time they inserted the IV to give me anesthesia I had a smile on my face... I dont remember anything really. I got home, went to sleep, woke up drooling, tried to eat and the gauge fell out yummy....

woke up around 3, was in so much pain i was crying hysterically.... Took some vicodin Luis came to visit, relaxed a bit and now the last of the anesthesia is wearing off... my bottom lip and chin are all tingly like they're asleep. Basically I had the 2 bottom ones removed and one of the top ones (the other top one had been taken out previously).... The stiches hurt like a bitch though. and i hate not being able to eat and having whatever i drink dribble down my chin like a moron....

the doctor prescribed me some percoset so hopefully the pain will be bearable for a little while... and well.... i didn't die

but ouchie i am not going to lie... it does hurt, a lot... gotta remember to take painkillers before i have another crying attack from the pain

Aww hon, you'll be ok..the pain will be a bitch to deal with, I won't lie about that, but you'll hang through...just be careful with those pills, like I mentioned to you, k?

had all 4 of them taken out (May 2002) at one time. (3 were impacted) (1 was fine). All I did was sleep, take pain pills, ate soft food , and took it easy. just watch out for dry sockets!!!
