The vatican won't relase info on his death right away, it usually takes a while. Remember they have to go through that whole ceremony where they say his name 3 times, hit him in the head with a silver hammer and a bunch of other stuff. It'll prob take a day, not much longer than that.
I kinda think he's already dead.

| When the pope dies, the cardinal chamberlain (Camerlengo) of the holy Roman Church (currently Eduardo Cardinal Martinez Somalo) ascertains the popes death, traditionally by calling the pope three times by his baptismal name without response. The ritual of striking the head with a silver hammer (which would later be used to break the Fishermans Ring and the papal seal) may be replaced by covering the face with a cloth. He then authorizes the secretary-chancellor to issue a death certificate and seals the pope's private apartments. After notifying the cardinal vicar for the diocese of Rome, the chamberlain secures the temporal goods and rights of the Holy See and attends to the details of the popes burial. |
they also light a fire in a special fireplace in the vatican which signifies the death and call for election of a new pope.
despite my differences with the catholic church, i would appreciate it if people could try and keep the joking out of this subject as the pope was a great man and deserves our respect.

Why what did he do to you two?
well, people are always need someone or something to look up to
thats why they beleive in god, cuz they are scared that they are all alone and by themselves
the pope was that kind of person that people looked up to
some people like him, some people dont, i cannot put myself in either two of those categories, but i must say, if he will die, good for him
I'm probably as disappointed as occrider at the fact that they don't crack his skull

now he's really dead
I say rest in peace. He tried his best (even if I didn't like one or two of his views, i.e. no contraception even in africa...).
*crying*
rest in peace...
