rioting at michigan state university...
so, its like 4 30 here in michigan. i just got back from the absolute craziest night of my life. i was just wondering if our riots tonight made national news because it got out of control. we lost in the final 4 of baskteball, and there were police from 4 different districts and helicopter police units out tonights. i saw burning couches, people stopping traffic in the middle of the street and screaming 'fuck the po-lice' and i got TEAR-GASED TWICE. the cops shot the teargas out of a gun and it exploded and i swear to god it is the worst experience in the world. wow i don't even know what to say anymore i just wanted to share that with everyone.

After CSU's riots earlier in the year, any student that can be identified as partaking (even standing around idly) whether by being identified by others or by being seen in newspapers/on TV can be expelled from the university
The only thing close to a riot I ever took place in was last year, when the cops broke up a party that had a shitload of students. Was obviously gonna be shut down because there were way too many people, the streets were filled too, something must of been going down or something to have that many people :/ But the cops came and teargased people, riot gear, people threw beer bottles at the car, etc.
yeah actually this year at the red sox riots at umass they had undercover cops too, youngest looking guys in the force wearing hoodies and sometimes backpacks
after the first night or two (remember, people rioted almost every game after we started beating the yankees in the alcs ), people wisened up some and like when me and the people i was with were just standing talking or w/e, we'd always make sure we were looking behind the people we're facing too
at one point i noticed what i thought was an undercover coming towards us so i warned my friends and the four of us all just stood in a tight circle facing outwards all military like, straight no-nonsense faces and stared down the cops
i only saw the one but there were two others real close too, they probably were gonna grab one of us
fucking bastards 
College sports are taken so seriously, it makes me laugh.
Being arrested because of the outcome of a sporting event... there's nothing more retarded.

i haven't watched the news today but why the hell would Michigan State riot they lost? Any idiot knows you only riot when you win in the finals.

cities that have teams lose in finals often have riots
cities that have teams that win championships often have riots.
recent winners with riots in cities: storrs (for uconn men/women's bball), LA (for lakers)
recent losers with riots in cities: lots of places

Martin Luther King and Anti-Vietnam Mayday riots in Washington, D.C. were the shit. Was in a riot on Va Tech campus as well, but chump change in comparison to the real McCoys in D.C. ... A serious politically motivated riot in a major city trumps a college campus uprising, believe me. Too bad Michigan State got their ass handed to them BTW...
