Quality Recording Of Radio?
i need some recommendations on hardware/software or anything else that would allow me to record off FM radio at CD or close to CD quality sound. anything u guys got would be nice.
also, what is the best music editing software that doesnt hurt the wallet much and can split the numerous hour long continuous mixes i have into separate tracks so i can listen to them individually instead of the entire mix.
ok what i do is i have a line out of my stereo going into a line in on a mixer and the line out of the mixer going into the mic in on the comp .. then get a prog like acid pro are cool edit are something along them lines that lets you record from a mic .. i think the quality of fm radio is only 64kbps i think now im not 100% sure but in acid if the quality was better than 64 and was cd quality it would be recored as a .wav anyway so you can just reneder it as maby 128/192kbps ..
At 128kbps, for an FM source you *probably* won't notice the difference between that and a WAV file.
But if you're an audio guy like me, you'll need 192k
