OL TTA has made a huge decision

Knowing full well that my better half reads this site and that you COR whores have no lives, I figured I'd mention that I've decided to get engaged to my current g.f (she knows this is coming anyway but not when, I got a date picked out in my mind but I shall tell NO ONE!) in the next while but I dunno what type of ring to get her, so ideas anyone, I don't really want to drop 2K on an engagement ring, when I could save it for my wedding.

oh for your backwards morons that might point out, why is TTA pointing this out, remember numbnuts that the next while to me is indefinite, meaning I could do it in May 06, June 05, Aug 07.

get man-made diamonds. They are cheaper and technically perfect. im not talking C.Z. here.

also...

Platinum ring. Princess cut diamond. Almost all the women ive dated want that marrige security shit & they have all wanted princess cut diamonds. I dodged some bullets & saved some dough.

Wow, TTA you have come a long way. Although I can't offer you advice on a ring, I do want to give you props, even though your punk ass blocked me on MSN Well done, my friend.

Posted by torontotrance on Apr-04-2005 03:24:

I'm not trying to be cheap here nor am I trying to spend a hell of a lot of money, I've been to a few stores and checked out what they have to offer and I'll probably get a ring soon (I'd say around which month I'd do it but my g.f would just read the forums and find out). She will probably post a I'm MARRYING A MADMAN thread in COR when it happens.

EDIT & ADDITION:
Also I wanna add that dont be skimpy on the amount of the diamond you put in the ring. If this is your soon to be wife I would expect it to be your only wife (hopefully). So give her the best you can. Women love diamonds & the bigger the better. I only plan on getting married once & when I take that fucked up giant leap, my wife will get the best I can offer (which I want to be alot).

I was pretty close to doing the same thing a while back..

It might seem a little excessive, but SERIOUSLY.

Take a peek at Canadian Diamonds. The clarity in these things is just unreal.

I've waited nearly 24 yrs to finally make this huge decision and I'm going to get married once and only once, also I believe it takes one crazy woman to really want to stay with me for 50+ yrs...lmao

Posted by OrZonE on Apr-04-2005 03:30:

You've "decided to get engaged"? LoL
You meant to say "decided to propose to her" didn't you?

Posted by torontotrance on Apr-04-2005 03:32:

the answer will be yes...lol

hence why...

c'mon ya idiots....suggest more things.

people might be willing to suggest more things if you didnt call them idiots

Posted by verndogs on Apr-04-2005 03:37:

maybe use a birthstone instead of a diamond? (unless her b-day is in April)

Naah, women love diamonds. But unique idea though depending on what the birthstone is, so maybe a combination of diamond & birthstone (if it matches).

Posted by Xenocreator_PG_ on Apr-04-2005 03:51:

The diamond derives its name from the Greek word adamas, meaning unconquerable.

Most diamonds found in nature are between one and three billion years old.

Most expensive diamond: $16,548,750. It was bought in 1997 and was 100 carats.

The first recorded diamond engagement ring was given to Mary of Burgundy from Archduke Maximillian of Austria in 1477 as a betrothal gift.

It is believed that a diamond: endows the wearer with courage and fortitude; brings victory and good fortune; wards off evil; protects against the plague; promotes constancy in a marriage.

Now dont be a cheapass TTA Spoil the lucky girl!!

Totally agree with this. Diamonds are so lame. If a girl madly expects diamonds she isn't in it for the love.

How about getting some kind of old/antique silver ring with some cool semi-precious stone in it?? I think it would be more original then a boring diamond...just an idea

btw....did you hit up Hybrid at systems (last weekend??)
