Official Random Thoughts Thread

This thread is dedicated to those random, often very humourous anectdotes and odd thoughts that pop into one's brain from time to time. Let's see how funny our random thought patterns are and perhaps we will vote and post a top ten list of the best each month for all of us to ponder.

Rules:

- nothing more than a few sentences (should be something you could easily quote)
- can be something you read or overheard (does not have to be original) but please state if it is.
- please try to keep this positive and NON-POLITICAL (good natured ribbing at best is ok)

OK then let me start by offering this statement in a news forum that almost made me spit out my coffee
