April 9,2005/Atlanta TA Outing/ Hanging Out/Frisbee Game

Hey There Everyone! I know that a few out of town TA's will be here this upcoming weekend and I thought it would be nice to do something outside I would like to go Saturday Afternoon after we wake up from Jimmy Van M. Who would be interested in doing something...

edit:

i see that people would almost be intrested in just doing a picnic and playing frisbee. either way i suggest we just do something. i'm welcome to ideas. like i said in a post we could always pool money together for a picnic lunch (sandwichs,chips, drinks) let me know. it's just supposed to be great this weekend. and don't worry about the frisbee. scott has one from college when he played ultimate frisbee playing days.

you see i changed my first post. stephen brought up a good point about Piedmont Park.

1. It will be hard to find parking places.
2. It will be hard to find frisbee space.

so with that said we need to find another park to go to. any recommendations? we need a huge field!!! and a grill would be nice

The Atlanta Dogwood Festival is more or less a celebration that Spring is here and that also the Dogwood are in bloom (It's a tree that blooms all over this city.) Their is food, booths, even Dog Agility contest (like the dogs that do frisbees and obstacle course). It's just a fun way to spend a beautiful Atlanta Spring Day.

and will there be Dogwood beer?

and is it easy access?

i can come and go as i please....or do i have to stay in and play frizbee for 4 hours without a beer on a beautiful spring day?

and im cheap... and to the park we can take food.. and b00z.....

I MIGHT go for a bit on Saturday. By the way there is beer there. I dont know if you all remember my friend Sarah, from Bobby's birthday, but she is a volunteer at the festival and she will be working a beer tent....can we say hook up????

well, what we could do is this;

a. walk thru the festival get drunk/get food and proced to an area of the park where we can play a game of frisbee.

b. make a picnic lunch (everyone chip in for sandwich meat, bread, chips, sodas, and whatever else and we go to a less crowded park to have a couple of kickass games of frisbee.

either way we need to have an ATL TA outing.

we won 4-0

me and mario ate teh coolz0rs.
used to be jocks in highschool haha!!!!!

we have scott's frisbee from college. so don't worry about it. it's regulation standard.

I was at piedmont park the other day and saw one of those, s0n!

z0mg! This chick sucked at throwing it and it'd launch half way across the field and her poor boyfriend was bright red after all those runs.

no wonder the guy weighed like 86lbs....he's burning all them colories running after those SHITTY throws
