Height-Weight-Pushups

Thought this might be fun. Post your height, weight, and max pushups you can do in a row.

I don't know if that's good or not. But I don't care! Let's see um folks!

ive been doing pushups almost every day (i try) for almost a year now. i hated that i could only do about 20-30.

its the only thing i do though besides bicycle sit ups, so i guess thats why its kinda high (if 70 is high at all...) cuz it makes up for not working out the real way.

Haven't done any pushups in over 5, 6 months. And now I remember why - pushups suck.

I want to gain more mass before I start doing any endurance training, so I'm surprised I can do that many. I was expecting more like 10-12.

In my early twenties, there was a point where I could do 2 sets of 100 pushups in one sitting. It took me a long time to reach that level, but it was a goal of mine in college. I stopped doing them for a time, and quickly lost that ability.

Here's a really great story on the original record holder for non-stop push-ups; he did 6,006.

Clicky

Funny thing is, you don't need to be incredibly strong or anything, it just comes from practice/repitition.

I personally suck at Push-ups because I rarely do them anymore.

135?
no idea cos they are the most boring thing in the world

I mean why would you want to do them? Supose if you tried bettering your last it might be good but even then it would take aaaaaggggggeeees. Personally I couldn't be fucked (pull ups I'd like to try tho they are harder and so take less time).

Wrist injuries from martial arts prevent me from doing pushups. On a good day I can do about 20, but its my wrists that give out before anything.

Posted by Nrg2Nfinit on Apr-05-2005 20:42:

depends on how wide you go with your stance.. (the wider the easier)

80 (wide stance) last time i tried which was about 8 months ago

ditto .. i went through the same stretch as you .. every morning, i promised myself i would do pushups .. well it wasnt everyday, but more like 5 to 6 days a week, with one break inbetween the stretch .. for instance, i would do 3 days, then break one day, then do another 3 or 4 days, then break ..

i was up to 100 .. that felt pretty good .. then i quit doing them .. kinda back on track with the schedule, as long as school doesnt piss me off or drain my energy, i would be cool .. hahah .. currently up to about 70 or 75 .. around there ..

hell yeah it works .. i hear it's the fastest way to get those "rip" biceps and shoulders, and you see the muscle alignment on your arms .. you don't want flabby arms, do you ??? ..
