-- the meaning of death
the meaning of death
quote:
Once upon a time, a disillusioned man set out in search of the meaning of death. But just as he reached the edge of his village, he met a comely woman from a neighboring town traveling in the opposite direction who was seeking the same thing. They began to talk and soon realized that they were totally hot for each other. One thing led to another, and you know how these things go. So death was defeated by sex, and they both lived happily ever after. Until they died. I think there's a lesson there for all of us. Somewhere.

death is a divine curse set upon us and the rest of the world for disobeying God. God representing everlasting life and perfection. when one rebels against this, they then become the opposite of everlasting life and perfection, and therefore become unperfect and mortal. so they say in christianity.

Originally posted by Ian^ i'd have to disagree here. I understand you're using it in a loose context, but death isn't a curse on us, it's a curse on those left, who have to pick up the pieces, the person who died isn't the one who's sinned/done wrong or whatever, but the person closest to them probably is, (or very close to them anyway) As an aethist tho, im still waiting for proof god exists

Death is life and life is death. It's that simple.

Whatever starts must end someday in order to start all over. That simple.
