200$ to burn?
I have about 200$ to burn. anyone got any recommendations for software, or samples?

watch out for my sample cd!
Use that money to take some music lessons, or to attend percussion workshops. That's not a lot of money to spend, but I think what I mentioned would be the best value to you as far as production goes.

i also agree, vengeance sample cd is probably the best 'EDM' sample cd out there.

Really is it better than ueberschalls techno trance essentials? I sorta got all into sample cd's for awhile then kinda went back to how I think they suck since you should program every sound for your tracks yourself and you will have to eventually anyway to make good music. At the same time, it is a good starting point for a track in a new genre if you don't have experience in that genre.
I would hope eventually you wouldn't need any sample cd's and you could just program that style yourself. Eventually the sample cd is going to get old and you will get bored of the samples.
