Strings/Pads

Hey, I am currently producing a melodic trance tune.

I am really happy with all my elements so far, but I am having one hell of a time trying to get strings right.

I am trying to recreate deep sine like Stringy Pad things that sounds deep, yet when they leave the mix they dont produce a gaping hole in the track. Any suggestions?

for software, try vanguard
for hardware, in my setup I use yamaha an1x and roland sh32 most for pads

if you're using FLStudio there's this strings sf2 file somewhere (just use the soundfont player, it's the default ensemble), it's good enough.

If you like hardware you should definatley get JD-800.. That synth is the string/padsynth nr1.. No kidding, it would probably kick the Prophet-5s ass twice and come back for more.
