XBox2 + PS3 to be unveiled in less than a month.
"At 3 PM Pacific on Monday, May 16, Sony will hold its E3 press conference on a sound stage in Sony Pictures' complex in Culver City where it is expected to publicly unveil the next PlayStation for the first time...
Microsoft already announced earlier this week that they plan to announce their next Xbox, aka Xbox 360 or Xbox 2, also on May 16th.
Sony will present the PS3 on a sound stage in Sony Pictures' complex in Culver City, just outside Los Angeles, at 15.00 PST on Monday, May 16th.
Microsoft will show their Xbox 360 three hours later (smart move by Sony) in downtown Los Angeles. At least both announcements are in the area of LA where the E3 is.

Micorsoft also featured a passel of quotes from publishing executives. To a person, they praised the forthcoming platform, and divulged a few details in the process. Among them were:
--Activision, Atari, Bandai, Buena Vista, Capcom, Codemasters, EA, Konami, and Midway are all working on multiple titles for the console.
--Sega is bringing Sonic the Hedgehog and other games from its "stable of popular franchises" to the platform.
--One or more of Rockstar Games' internal studios--either Rockstar San Diego (Midnight Club), Rockstar North (Grand Theft Auto: San Andreas), or Rockstar Vancouver (currently working on "original action titles")--is developing games for the platform. (Rockstar Leeds is a developer for handheld platforms.)
--Massively multiplayer online role-playing game developer/publisher Webzen is working on a game that will take advantage of the next version of Xbox Live's "stable service and online capabilities." Recently, the company announced APB, a crime-based MMORPG from Grand Theft Auto creator David Jones.

might be fake is true, however it would make sense as everything microsoft has said about the new controllers is shown there, wireless, no more black or white buttons, etc

I'll agree with it not being appealing to the eyes but the fact that wireless will be standard is awesome also you may notice no conroller ports!!! this would only mean that the next verison of the xbox communicator headsets will also be wireless

Nice charger bases, too.
I sure hope those aren't the new controllers. I doubt they are.
I also hope they do NOT do wireless. Wireless controllers never work as good as regular corded controllers. Interference, delay, and technical issues could create a huge headache. And as mentioned above, battery life, especially if the controller vibrates.

^^^
took the words right out of my mouth
nintendo got the wireless controller right, I'd have to say logetech also got it right with the wireless xbox controllers however they are quite pricy
not sure what controllers you were using but wavebird doesn't have any issues that you have mentioned, same goes with the logetech wireless
Can anyone explain this.
If the PS3 and Xbox 360 are being unveiled at about the same time, why is it that Sony is going to release the PS3 like well-over half a year later than the Xbox 360? The technology in it cannot be that much better to warrant a much later release date...

Im hoping PS3 is gonna be better graphically that the new XBOX. Im a real loyal Sony supporter always have loved their products. Now I dont have Microsoft I just never fell in love with the XBOX when I bought mine.
Buutttt...XBOX owners I know have become cocky and have an attitude towards gaming. Thinking XBOX rules all etc. Ill admit it has better graphics than PS2 but I dont think the games are the same quality. Not up for an argument in the matter either I just want to play something I like.
So I now have a bias to the new PS3. Although hopefully Sony will keep the same type of controller as that is why I stuck with PS2 from PS1. Love that controller for some reason.
In the end though I will probably think of the following when deciding on which one to get:
1 - Screenshots
2 - Price(Dont want to pay alot)
