Melbourne V Sydney the final conflict

Bring it you lousy sydneysiders....we all know that melbourne is the capital of culture in this great nation of ours. we aint all up ourselves either.

BRING IT!!!!!!!

Posted by Aesthetic on Apr-12-2005 03:56:

fuck culture.. SYDNEY HAS JOSHVA.

we win.

Posted by Light The Fuse on Apr-12-2005 04:02:

Posted by n14owns on Apr-12-2005 04:04:

Melbourne

I'd live there.

Love Poundin' Sensation

Melbourne wins by default

Although Sid would be a fun addition to the squad, we need more Melbournians like him bringing the big (figure of speech) djs down

Posted by pkcRAISTLIN on Apr-12-2005 04:12:

well, melbs is far far cheaper to fly to than sydney. and melb has 5am i love melbourne

never really spent much time in sydney. tho id def come to an ANOT evening just to see what warrants all the funny abuse and mockery

Posted by eRRaTiK on Apr-12-2005 04:14:

melbourne...

sydney...

end story.

Posted by Light The Fuse on Apr-12-2005 04:17:

melbourne

sydney

the story continues lol

Posted by tonydanza on Apr-12-2005 04:17:

Sydney's going to have the trancetribe event soon though :P
City and Lifestylewise, id choose Sydney .. party and clubbingwise melbourne gets my vote .. especially since clubbing down there isnt synonomous with the gay scene.

I gave my vote to Sydney though because the number of AUTA posters is very Melgurn skewed

(sorry guys i dont have good .jpg hunting abilities)

Posted by pinkhelmet on Apr-12-2005 04:20:

only reason why melb cud win this poll is becoz there r more melb ppl with no lives, who resort to the ta forum for a social life

Posted by pkcRAISTLIN on Apr-12-2005 04:21:

thats a good point. however you *did* just include yourself as one of the few sydneysiders without a life by posting in this thread

Posted by 00soups00 on Apr-12-2005 04:31:

haha this thread could go on for ever.. its great..

Each city has its benefits, but the arrogance of the majority of
the Sydneysiders really does my head in.. however there are some gems in there too..

Melbourne -

Sydney -

there is no contest

dont you work in IT??

*shudders*

easy..

just right click on the image you have found, and select properties. There will give you the exact link image..

and then just click on the IMG button
and enter in the link...

Posted by eRRaTiK on Apr-12-2005 06:14:

ok i'll show you since you're ub3r sexy dave.

i'll demonstrate by using an example..

1. using http://images.google.com.au/ i search for "dj warden"
2. selecting the first image that returns, i click on the thumbnail to go to the web page that the image is on
3. click on "see full size image" to view the full size image
4. right-click on the full image and select 'properties' (i use firefox so it might be something else in IE)
5. copy the url to the image

code:
http://mind-one.de/news/uploads/warden.JPG

6. on the forum new post page click the [IMG] button and paste the URL you copied in step 5 into the text box, click OK

(alternatively paste the URL into the "your reply" text box and enclose it with [IMG] [./IMG] tags - minus the dot)

and there you have it:

btw, if you go to the page the above image is on (http://www.mind-one.de/news/index.php?id=view) there is a pic of this guy

followed by soups

thanks champion! any wannabe's piss you off, fill me in and they'll get a nice roasting

Sydney hands down though! Just because you Melbourians have a few extra gurners in leg warmers and butterfly wings doesn't necessarily mean that the clubbing culture is any better. In fact, I think this is the reason which makes Sydney clubbers far more 'superior' to melbourne clubbers.

No need to talk landscape either! You have the Yarra, we have the Harbour bridge, Centrepoint and Opera House.

We also have Sounds on Sunday

Posted by Light The Fuse on Apr-12-2005 08:29:

ohh you thidney thiders...no need to get in a tizzz
