Does any1 else get that when thney bring old sets back.? I would assume so & hope so, but the MD is full of fucts & im drunk & pumped from coming home from a shit bar & hearing some good old tracne now (even though I dont like him ytoo much).

essential mix 99 from the rohjan! love that set! old trance rock-sores
im listening to an old em now
the mixing is pretty poor but the tracks are cool
oh shut up w/ the fucking "oakey rocked in 99" bullshit.
if i had a f'n penny for every time i heard that, i'd be rich.
i was actually disappointed with him during wmc at crobar for the perfecto party. he actually spun shit that he would have in 99.
some of the best semi-recent sets of his were from his Heineken Thirst tour...more specifically his Buenos Aires set w/ Future Shock "On My Mind" and "Wish You Were Here", etc...
why do all the big DJ's have the sickest sets from other countries like 2-3 months before they come to US and then they get here and just totally switch up the genre and go back to cheese? that's just been my observation...especially with Tiesto.
I dont listen to many sets, but listening to old trance sets gives me the feeling of my first year in high school.

Ya, I listened to the same exact set couple of days ago after like 6 months. I just got shivers.

| Originally posted by UWM They think that people in the United States are, on a whole, uneducated about dance music, and this is generally true. I suppose they feel that playing the 'popular' records will garner more crowd interest than playing out new stuff that people aren't familiar with. Remember, probably 80-90% of the people at these shows have a very limited knowledge of EDM beyond what they see from mainstream CD releases, so most of the music is still new to them. They can't all be freak music addicts like we are! |
The last time I saw armin was like almost 2 years ago when he came to this club in south beach called Nerve. I think it was like only the 2nd weekend of that club being opened and I dont think it got a lot of promotion because the club was huge and Id say there was probably no more than about 70 people there. lol anyway, he started throwing down some really sick prog/breaks songs in the beginning of his set and I was like, hell yea. Then 2 songs later he started playing really bad cheese...like no bassline whatsoever. so everyone was just standing there whistling with their hands in the air. I was majorly disappointed. The only cool part was when he was done with his set, he came down and started drinking beers with all of us and just shootin the shit.

| Originally posted by LiquidX It was called MAZE, not Nerve. And it was like 3 yrs ago... might you be referring to Opium Garden though?!?1.. Cause @ Maze there was barely any ppl, and @ Opium Markus Schulz opened for him, and those are the few times he came.. he then did Mansion. As for Armin, no one knew who armin was, only us TA's. |
