Trip out your desktops

Ok i'm stuck on a small island and don't have the opportunity many of you do to visit the clubs so one of the things i like to do is trip out my desktop and get the visuals going along with the music and my American Dj Vertigo. Here are a few quality apps in case anyone else here is into this. If you have anything to add please do.

Drempels
Makes for a true active destop and works with any photos you want. This thing can really punish your machine.

R4
The best visual showcase for a computer that has built in beat detection and works with any media player.

Mp3 Dancer A cool little app with people that dance to the beat of the music on your desktop. Unlike Microsofts Plus! dancer there are trance/club dancers to choose from and the high quality beat detection makes them more realistic. The free version only lets you use the silhouette of each dancer but imo these look much better than the full version.

Please share if you know of any other good ones.

this is one of the best winamp visualizations and works great with EDM. if you have a webcam, it will even incorporate the webcam into the visualization. very cool and one of my favs

Well it's in a different category really. I like to have a few different ones though since i'm running a multi monitor setup. All of the above are top rated imo.

Try turning the plugin priority higher in winamp.

Anyone figure out how to get video clips to work with beatharness? I aimed it towards a directory but it only seems to be using the photos and not the video.

If you're going to a university you can check out lcd projectors for free at the library. Wicked for parties.

the uni that i went to had a CAD lab. with a dual-projector concave screen taking up one side of the room. looking back on it, oOo the things i could have done with that...

all i actually used it for at the time was a shetty CAD model of an SMT machine :\

the only problem with LCD projectors is they can suffer the same dead-pixel problems that laptops can have. I think DLP fixes that
