We got a puppy!! Pics inside

Scott and I got a 7 week old German Shepherd female puppy today!! We found here from an add we saw at a noodle house. She is completly adorable and were falling in love with her.

Her name is Yoko. Named after Scott's favorite musical composer, Yoko Kanno. Ms. Kanno is a composer of music from anime titles such as Macross Plus, Vision of Escaflowne, Cowboy Bebop and Ghost in the Shell: Standalone Complex, as well as game music for Koei, Ms. Kanno is known worldwide for her moving and adventurous orchestral, jazz and experimental works.

oh the carpet cleaning has started. we got thru the first night. she only made a few messes. i know i kept hearing her trying to get on the bed which that's not going to happen.

really, with a dog that size you are gonna have to get something else or you are gonna have to walk her for hours a day to get her the right amount of excersize!!!

she's more scott's pup. i just happen to be around a lot. german shepherds are cute, but really not my first choice in a dog breed. i felt so bad locking her up when we left for work

just some quick advice...stay away from all carpet cleaners that contain ammonia (basically just use the carpet cleaners sold in the pet section). ammonia smells like piss so in turn the dog tends to want to rewet that spot.

also, it's quite easy to train your dog to ring a bell when they need to go potty and this could make your life a lot easier. get one of those jingle/sleigh bells from the craft department and hang it from a string near the door. every time you take her out make her hand/nose gently knock the bell. in no time she will be ringing that shit to let you know when she has to go.
