there have been more advancements in DJ technology the last two years than the rest of its history pretty much. There's a new toy out every few weeks it seems.

I saw it on engadget a few days ago.

The original article stated that this model was made for "DJ battles". Also, Numark was working on a more professional model for the real DJ's.

hum, i think its just needless...

it looks stupid, and i think that it wont be "accepted" in the international scene..

Dude Great Find!! I think its awesome...I was watching a documentary on electronics, they mention something about MP4..That would not disregard some much sounds compression rates will be better, and still sound almost as the real deal. Im sure these IPODs will come in handy in the near future.

just an fyi for those captivated by the numark machine...notice there are 2 ipods in the cradle...which means 2 shitty batties which mean you have to replace 2 ipods which means they got you by both of your balls now..

This machine looks like a instant party to me. Small,Portable and ready to use at a drop of a dime. I have no problems with technology that keeps the party going. Im thinking that those IPODs might being charging will just sitting there or getting power source from somewhere else. But I may be wrong. Ive never used an IPOD.

well, if they could really put more work in using higher quality parts, this is gonna be hot. The portability and convenience of it is marketable.

Only thing is, where is the pitch control?

personally i think it's a cool little toy but nothing that should be put in clubs all over. Alot of you are flaming it but it's just a step down from cd players as cd players are a step down from turntables. I'm actually surprised that not many saw this coming because i know i did.
I'd love it if they found a way to only use 1 ipod but to me it seems like it would be too hard to find a way to send 2 tracks from 1 ipod to side a and side b. Maybe they'll come out with DJ Edition Ipods, i wouldn't be surprised.
In the end, i think it's a cool little idea to make DJ'ing more... portable but i'd much rather stay with vinyls.
& Vlad, why find it so sad? You urself used a program to DJ, not saying it's the same but i personally believe that if you had yourself a laptop you'd be all over trying to throw partys and i don't see what's so hurtful of it.
