First off, I hope this is just a demo because if it isnt, theres no intro :P.
-Good ctachy rythms but where is the bass? I hear the bassline and the kick but theres not nearly enough bass in the 250Hz and 500Hz range. To be the floor thumper it could be, you need a heavier kick, somethign that doens tsound so much like a plain, un-modified floor tom .
-I like the phaser you have going on. Adds a bit of quality to the track.
-Good break away but nothing happens/changes? A break is meant to be there so the listeners are on edge, waiting for what they will hear next.
----------
-Seems like its full on from the start and nothing changes. Try goign with a more progressive style where you start with just some drums maybe a really muted or wet-only reverb on the counter-melody.
-Which brings up another point, where is the melody?? This track is pretty good base work for possibly a damn good track.
-Add in some strained strings work. Strings can make or break a song though so watch what you use. For this track in particular, I'd highly recomend FM synthesized strings. It will definantly add a lot to the track.
-The track is a bit too short (again, hoping its jsut a demo? :P). Add in a long break. This track deserves it. With the synth work and kick work you have going on, I could definantly hear a piano going on in the background, something BT - Flaming June style.

Overall, good start. I look forword to seeing how you change it and add in stuff.
Grade B (needs improvement but quite good start)

Cheers,
Zac

Hey. I just could not resist Jamesie. The base of this track was so superb I had to see what I could do about finishing it so I did . I know it could use a little work but I thought it turned out well for only a few hours at it (about 3 hours).

-Tekn.mp3
-FLStudio 5
-FM7
-A few custom samples
-140 BPM
-5m 38s
-About 3 hours of work

Jamesie - Tekn (DS Remix)

Cheers,
Zac

P.S. If you can produce more stuff like this, I'd love to collaborate with you on atleast a few tracks .

Interesting track (the original) it just needs a solid intro and some work in the EQ Department.
