Djs/Producers who shouldn't quit their day job...
The title of this thread may seem a little off but I'll try to explain it as best as I possibly can.
The producers out there that try to dj as well... but just shouldn't. Many of you would say Adam White (and I would tend to agree).
Or vice versa, the djs that attempt to produce but just shouldn't.
I can't think of any one like that off the top of my head.
Ideas below

i was talking to DJ Mason about this, who is a DJ turned producer, and we were talking about it because he had just released a tune, and i was wonderind what he was getting out of it, and he replied, not much.. there isnt that much cash in production unless you are huge and ur record is flying off the shelves, so many producers are forced to spin in order to make ends meet without getting another job, one which may not suit them
all Euphonic artists
they should stick to producing
that goes for luke chable too....

your friend dj pi or wotever his name is.
some deejays purposely kept dayjobs, just to not get sucked into things. Look at DJ Surgeon, amazing brummie techNO deejay, he still has a dayjob, last I heard. Chris Micali works in IT during the day, he gets to travel more at times, so I'm told with IT. Brad Copeland works as the agent for some Montreal club to get talent or he did..depends if he still is drinking heavily
. There are a lot of deejays that I feel should retire or have not bothered because they ain't good enough but the biggest name that I think is Matt Darey. Come on Matt, we know you used to be great, you took 2 yrs off to count your money but you kept recycling the same sounds and now its still the same, so get a dayjob matt.

There are loads of producers who should stick to producing.. I'll leave it at that.

People who should stay as producers:
Gabriel & Dresden
Luke Chable
Mylo
People who should stay as DJs:
Armin van Buuren
Hmm, can't think of much else. Anyone want to add?
Okay, quick question. Does Liquid Todd suck Oakie off everyday? How the fuck did this guy play Ultra, much less the Ampitheatre this year? I saw this guy tour with Oakenfold, here in Denver, last summer. I've never heard someone, supposedly a headliner, off their beats so bad. He didn't have a single mix on beat throughout. Anyone else have any feelings about this guy?

It will be more intelligent to ask for the full-time djs/producer.
Maybe I caught him on a bad night.
Liquid Todd had a great radio show in Boston for a long time. He had a big following. Oakey is looking for the next big American sensation.
well D:Fuse opened for Oakenfold for yrs and now D:Fuse is huge. Tho Dave Ralph ain't American and look where his career went....off the charts.

BT
He's a good producer, but a dj he is not.

I put Armin on the list for DJs who should stay as DJs because his productions have gone down tremendously. Nothing from him was as good as Blue Fear, and that was originally out in 1997.
