remix challenge $500 prize

**Found this off a website I purchase vinyl at**

We're putting the finishing touches on some tracks for our next singles here at NRG, and want some help from you. If you've got the skills, then we've got 5 big bills in return.

We're looking for guys and gals who want to take a crack at remixing some tracks for our next single, and in return, we'll help you out with $500 if we choose to use your mix. Take a listen to the tracks we're thinking of mixing, and if you think you've got talent to make the Next Big Remix out of any of the tracks below, then mix it up and send it our way.

what kind of metronome was used?you can hear'it on the backgound of "Mixdown - without you verse 1" and "Mixdown - without you verse 2a"

whats the final date for submissions? i might give it a shot if its not needed until the end of may.

damn the original is such cheese lol...i think i'm going to lean towards a prog house remix, these boys won't know what hit'em lol

Posted by tripudio on Apr-20-2005 18:55:

I dont know the finally submission date, just came across it by mistake while purchasing some vinyl, thought that some producers here on TA would be able to remix into a decent track, plus extra cash!!

This should be fun! Thanks for the link man..

Posted by Subtle on Apr-20-2005 23:17:

LOL....

very well, one does not really need the MIDI for the melody anyways.. it suxx so bad, so make ur own

Ian van Dahl ripp off

500 cash. come to me!

edit: this track must be the worst cheese i have ever heard, its bad, really really bad.. i cant picture anyone who would like this track..

Posted by RiCo on Apr-21-2005 00:22:

WTF? Aghhh...my ears, hahaha. Man, that song sucked BAD. I like the production...it was very separated...but the track itself smells like limburger.

Posted by krivi on Apr-21-2005 00:50:

haha,complet shit

Posted by RiCo on Apr-21-2005 02:38:

Haha, hey guys, I think I'm gonna jump in the bandwagon!

I'm going for the Cher style vocal, haha. I'm doing it for fun...I don't care for $500...that's pennies to me after having 2 cars and two bikes to take care of, LOL.

By the way, did you guys hear the metronome and part of the track in the background? Crazy, hehe!

Clicky!

Posted by tripudio on Apr-21-2005 04:49:

After finally hearing the track, cheese is the best way to describe it lol Dont know if I want to make the effect to remix it

Here's my cheese vocals with added metronome lol

clicky

Posted by Subtle on Apr-21-2005 10:23:

and 12" with a Gabriel and Dresden Mix and big 500$ Gift for cheese eaters out there

Posted by RiCo on Apr-21-2005 15:51:

Bad news, guys...I was at work today fixing some seats in my helicopter and I had the damn song playing in my head. Well, not the song...the annoying lyrics with the squeaky voice, haha. I liked the song itself a little...but the lyrics killed it.

Posted by Zombie0729 on Apr-21-2005 20:38:

i'm not going to have enough time to do this on my own. anyone want to colab? i've started screwing around already

pm for msn info

Posted by ronk on Apr-22-2005 00:55:

holy shit...

if cheese they want, cheese they will get.

Posted by RiCo on Apr-22-2005 01:58:

You know they charge you extra for cheese in your hamburger in fast food restaurants? There's enough in that song to have it free for the rest of your life.

Posted by hardikaveri on Apr-22-2005 04:56:

whats the bpm?

i cant stand trance belove 140 ; )

Posted by The Drow on Apr-22-2005 12:38:

I'M NOT TOUCHIN THIS CRAP OMG
Pay me more and I'll do it.
how can you even remix this crap?
The melody sucks, the vocals sucks?
What can u remix in this tune?

Posted by Magnus on Apr-22-2005 21:29:

Does anyone know the cutoff for this contest? And if you read the directions, you can use as little or as much of the original track as you want. You can basically make a whole new track which is what I'm doing, and using some elements from the vocals alone. I'll post something up when I'm done.

Posted by Zombie0729 on Apr-23-2005 01:16:

lol, i've reversed and chopped up the vocals. you cant' even make it out now... although, i need a melody now
