ever have trouble with the web browser not coming up?
does it have to do with the tcp ports being blocked by my firewall, cause IE works just fine.....help?

Ya, I have had similar problems.
but i dont think it has to do with your firewall, atleast i dont think so.

For me atleast, it seems like an instance of firefox is still running in background (under windows task manager) from the last time i used it. If I try and open up firefox again it just hangs (and now i have two firefox applications running in background).

Might have to do with the user preferences, since its prompted me saying that this user is already in use.

Havent figured out a fix for it yet, not too much of an hassel since it happens rarely.

turns out I had the work offline option turned on....lol. I did manage to find recent news on firefox bugs on google news, weird timing.
