TOTA NBA Playoff Thread

Ahhhhhh yes.... playoffs.

I hope its a Phoenix vs. Miami final

Posted by ShadoWolf on Apr-21-2005 02:57:

I bet Miami will get knocked out earlier, possibly by New Jersey.

Suns v. Pistons

edit: I would have picked the Spurs, but Duncan's injury is just too bad to pick them.

F**K, Vince made the playoffs...I hope Miami crushes them.

Go Phoenix...a Phoenix/Miami final would be incredible to watch.

Although it's not going to happen, it would be cool to see Reggie Miller win a championship.

So many good series. San Antonio vs. Denver should be entertaining.

Next year, if Baron stays healthy, I bet Golden State makes the final four

there is no way half man half season will beat shaq and flash....especially in the playoffs when shaq is clutch!!! not a chance......

suns/mavs western conference final going seven games w/dallas taking it
pistons/heat eastern conference final going six w/ miami taking it

Carter recently admitted that he didn't put in any effort for the last two seasons with the Raps.

well at least he's being honest.....now.

Posted by slingshot on Apr-21-2005 04:59:

carter is nothing more than a bum......he's a talent and that's it....you can't even call the guy a proffesional beacause if he was one he still would have played hard for whoever signed his paycheques.......if yuo don't like your job you still have to go in everyday and get it done don't you??

doesn't matter who wins .. as long as PEDDIE is fired in the offseason !!

take Babcock too !

Posted by Sly_Guy on Apr-21-2005 14:24:

well personally, I no longer care about the NBA playoffs. I'll watch, but without any passion.

The only positive I can see is by tanking their last game, the raps both gave clevland a shot at taking down the nets [which they didn't], and gave themselves a statistacally improbable chance at winning the draft lottery. Way to go raps! 8th worst in the league!

Posted by ShadoWolf on Apr-25-2005 02:58:

wow Denver looked impressive in their win

in fairness to SA, they had bad luck... so many shots just didn't go down...

Spurs in 7

Posted by slingshot on Apr-25-2005 04:00:

that they did..........they're record since george karl took over is something like 25-4....they're the hottest team in the nba right now but nobody seems to be noticing....i'm thinking that we might have a nice upset happen here, i'm hoping so at least!!

of course....he's one of the premier players in the league...but in playoff anything...you never know....which makes playoff sports sooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooo good.

Dood that's like saying FIFA is shite without Pele...you gotta roll with the times!!! Don't tell me you don't think King James doesn't have potential to be up there in that list...(and no, I don't mean like Vince Cocksucker "potential" I mean the real thing)

yesterday's game was incredibly exciting.. just amazing basketball..

Posted by Sly_Guy on Jun-21-2005 00:12:

I can't believe I missed the second half.....I knew I should have taken a nap after lawler!

Posted by joinT on Jun-21-2005 00:21:

seriously one of the most intense, high energy games i have ever seen... that was truly nba finals quality ball..

Posted by slingshot on Jun-21-2005 03:57:

this final stinks......tim duncan vs. ben wallace? come on now......

Posted by MarkT on Jun-22-2005 05:54:

this final has *rocked* so far...every game, even the blowouts, have been really entertaining. With tight defence, when you do see a good play, it's a GOOD play. Watching teams with shit defence play each other gets boring...

With the exception of seeing Nash do his thing for Phoenix...I'll take a methodical Detroit defence-first game over most others...I love the way they play ball!

I really hope Detroit takes Game 7...although I think they've at least silenced the critics who called last year's championship a fluke, regardless of the outcome.

Great great great game... san antonio deserved it...this game is going into my collection...

Posted by Crazy Serb on Jun-24-2005 04:26:

fack...

I saw Detroit winning this in 6 or 7 games... even made a handfull of bets as well... and they came pretty fucken close to that.

and wow... whoever called this final boring or whatever, man, you need to lay off cocaina. that was as close and intense as the good NBA game gets.

I'm really happy for San Antonio... couldn't happen to a better group of guys.

Props to Detroit as well for a great series.
