Peter Safranyos - Cinnamon (Original Mix)

hey guys,

i just played around the other night, and got something i like, so i thought i will post it here, of course its an early version of the track, no buildup or anything, just the main part, no proper eqing / mastering yet, i just thinking on that maybe some vocals would be cool for it later, i hope you will like it, anyway!

here is the link:

Peter Safranyos - Cinnamon (sample)

all comments, suggestions would be really much appreciated as always

thanks in advance,

Peter

Hey Peter,

I really like this man. Nice chill out ASOT kinda trance. Great effects in it. It does need some eq-ing. Maybe make the bassline more rollin so it get's a little more drive. Maybe an extra arp or lead melodie? And the strings more to the background? Man If you've finished it maybe i could do a remix?
Keep it up!! Great job.

Posted by AniG on Apr-21-2005 09:56:

whoa coming along nicely ^-^
sounds really good, i wish i could do things like that lol.
just need to do it up like you said and you'll have one pimping track man

Posted by DjLiMZ. on Apr-21-2005 10:03:

cant give no pointers as its still early stages and your still working on it those strings/pads are so atmospheric and really fucking good hurry up and finish it .

Posted by Perry on Apr-21-2005 10:30:

hey Peter nice Piece great sounds and stuff but its sound like its ripped from a set , i mean hmm maybe too much compressor
no wide Stereo image...
try to fix it...altuogh good job!

Posted by alexpea on Apr-21-2005 10:33:

I recognize this This is the same track as "Mayflower" Just Mayflower is far more finished.

Posted by Jay M on Apr-21-2005 10:54:

Nice melody Peter, it's a nice track to work on and finish. Pay some extra attention to the percussion, kick and bass, they lack quite some power. The kick and bass need far more low end and the percs could use a layer or to for more drive.

Good luck ma man

-Jay

beautiful stuff man

try and tweak up the low end

mate great fxs nice melody, good flow, nice bassline and great strings.. I always look at deepest side of tune and I am looking for emotions.. and this is very good emotional track.. good job.. keep this up.

Posted by Timothy on Apr-21-2005 13:58:

Nice work although the bass lacks low frequencies.

Posted by Amfora on Apr-21-2005 15:40:

good stuff mate. Nice chilly trance. Im waiting for the full version :P

Posted by eulerfx on Apr-21-2005 17:12:

- like mentioned, work with the bass. make it clearer and punchier
- i'd use a different, maybe even more live sounding instrument for those background strings. or maybe a nice full pad and layer them even more in the buildup
- i think you need a leady melody, or some sort of hook
- hats/percs need more attention.
- overall the tracks sounds nice, but seems to lack a main hook and attention to small pieces

Posted by Amarezzo on Apr-21-2005 17:24:

good work, needs a hook, but a chill track wich I enjoyed..

Posted by dbl on Apr-21-2005 18:19:

really nice start man
i like it.. keep working on it

nothing to comment on that haven't been said already

to be honest, mate, it really its NOT.

probably you mean the structure, which is really similar to Mayflower i agreed, about it, only because i like that structure, and i builded up using that structure to the climax, but if you listen to the melody, i really don't think its the same melody as Mayflower, or i can send you both midi files, and we will see...the buildup also really different to the one i played around in Mayflower, i will update this sample later, with the buildup in it, and you will see...

overall, agreed about the 2 tracks have kinda really similar instruments, effects and so on, however they are pretty different in other ways, but you will see it clearer once i will post the final versions of both tracks here

anyway, thanks to everyone for the comments, suggestions about the track,

i keep them all, and trying to make the track better at the moment!

cheers,

Peter

Hi Peter,

beautiful melodies again, very uplifting and inspiring.
i think you have overused REVERB,especially in that main melody synth.this tune have a great feeling, like all your productions.Just try to eq-it better.main melody is too sharp IMO.
pads are very uplifting, but try to add some lower freqs. to them.
eq-it better and this will be killer tune.

keep on work mate you have great potential!

was about to say that. i realize its still in early stages, but yeah, need to fill out that low end a bit more, its a good bass, but its too 'simple' right now. maybe mess around with the kick, either try different ones or try tweaking, to make it better. sounds kind of flat at the moment.

great friggin melody mate. guess this is what happens when mycron goes logic-al

WoW awesome as always

as u know my comments just u need some equalizing + nice buildup = got a massive track

Keep it up

Hey. Your last works have been good, looking forward to this.

-Awesome use of pads. Very professional sounding.
-Good arpeggio. I like the filtered yet light sound youve gotten with it.
-Your kick is a bit too light on the upper frequencies.

Its too bad this track ends so quickly . Need to hear the full version. If the rest of the track is as good as the intro, then you definantly could have a tune here.
Grade A

Cheers,
Zac

Good job again, cool sounds and nice melodies. Overall it could use a better mix imo, but i have to agree with alexpea a bit also. It sounds a lot like Mayflower, not that this is bad, but you use a lot of the same synths and effects in this one. But this one is also very good. In your next track i want to hear something different (or should i say 'in our next track' )

Posted by sooper on Apr-24-2005 21:47:

Hey Petey!

This is a fantastic song! You never disappoint.

The kick needs a boost.

I like the choir pads.. the make the toon very sweet.

You really are consistent with style, which is great. After hearing your last few toons its becoming easy to recognize the Mycron style.

I know you've got some big things coming.. looking forward to hearing them very much!

Keep it up buddy,
Trev

quite a nice song there peter, very nice and relaxing trance almost like the thrillseekers style ( big compliment ).

Posted by tylerc on Apr-25-2005 02:49:

sounds pretty nice so far man. i'd suggest pitching up that clap a step or so tho, it just sounds too heavy and dry for the rest of the track. very dreamy melody, sounds good. percussion is pretty minimalistic, but it sounds alright.

keep it up.
