denon dns1000 cdj vs. pioneer cdj-200
So decided that im going to get a cdj...save up for a 4+ channel mixer and pick up another cdj after that.
anyways...im caught between the denon and the pioneer. the pioneer because its looks good...simple layout, yada yada yada. the denon however even though has a chunck of the same stuff as the pioneer...has a couple different things such as the "new track function w/ crossfade". so if anybody could give me input on the denon more than the pioneer, that would be awesome. thanks in advance
Do you mean the Denon S1000 CDJ...
tehres also the new Stanton players
+ it has ondeck effects...6 of em.
i think the DNS1000 has a wider pitch range then the stanton though. im not sure about that pioneer. you know the pitch settings on that?
Out of those 2 I'd go for the CDJ200, for 2 reasons IMO the cueing system on the CDJ is better, and the CDJ has .02% accuracy over the S1000 .1% accuracy, also check out those stantons, they look pretty good, but I have a feeling there only good to .1% accuracy as I can't find any info on what the increments are, and they usually don't say what they are if there not very good, wish these companies would make the basics perfect before throwing on a ton of crap.
yea i think its a .1% aswell... .1,8,16,25 and 100. but they have onboard sampling..aswell as cue memory for 4 slots. but pitch is more important then that.
Its this simple.
Do you want a touch sensative platter (ability to scratch and cue like vinyl)
Or do you want extra accurate pitch increments.
If you want the vinyl emulation get the denon 0.1% is still plenty good to mix with, especially with pitch bend buttons.
If you arent worried about vinyl emulation, or if extremely accurate pitch is wanted. Then get the cdj.
Otherwise, they are both very well built, and functional cd players, you would probably be happy with either one.
cdj200s look fucking solid as fuck.
cant say the same about the stantons or the denon 1000s.
thanks for all the input guys. gonna head over this weekend to sam ash or guitar center and test them out. from what beats and beeps said...im pretty sure i want a touch sensetive platter seeing as though i want to cue up as vinyl.
once again, thnx
cheers
