which sat radio company has better sound quality. xm or sirius.
who has more bitrate? everyone gives me their opinion, i need facts, detailed info. also, which one has better dance stations?

Sirius is better. I personally have XM, but I've heard Sirius many times and the sound quality on Sirius is MUCH better. XM uses AAC+ compression (at 48k I believe -- sounds like shit for dance music IMO). Also, Sirius' dance stations play much better tracks. XM plays the same tracks over and over again for about two months, then they change it. Sirius plays a wide range of shit from fresh tracks to classic must-hear tracks.

So I'd say go with Sirius. Besides, it looks like XM will be out of business within the next 5 years or so... Sirius is making deals with people *ahem* Eminem *ahem* to get their own stations, and they are even planning to launch a few video channels for the people who have TV screens in their cars. They came after XM, learned from XM's mistakes, and therefore I think are going to win in the end.

48k thats really low! do u know where i can find some info about sat. radio sound quality. thanks for ur time!!!!

Well, don't get it confused with 48k MP3. The 48k AAC+ sounds much better than 48k MP3, but still it's very low and sounds like shit IMO.

ACC is great sound quality.. as for XM.. Supposedly they got more Dance Channels and are better as well. They got this Trance Shows where you get to hear from John 0 Bir to Suzy Solar to John 00 Fleming sets.. they also transmitted Ultra Music Festival Live.. other then that I dont know much more. If I get satellite Im getting XM if that helps

Yeah, for livesets XM can do okay.. but they don't even play that many livesets so mostly they just play singles, and they are all old cheesey tunes!

I have sirius and i kinda like it at first... but the past 2 months they must have changed some things around cuz it got a lot better... i like the all mix chanel and 63/trance/prog. you will get some crap every now and then but when your on the way home from the club at 4-8am on sunday its the shit! they have global warm-up thats good and play sets from armin, ferry, and others that arent so well known but are good... cant say if i like XM never had it.
