TRACK NAME: Dual Shinto

Kopi =o.
Hey Kopi,
Listened to the track. The chill out beginning is quite nice. Really enjoyed listening to it.
The trancepart however really is not good. It has no particular vibe, nothing stands out apart from the piano. And sorry to say this but when you start playing the piano, it sounds a bit like a beginner starting to play the piano. This is probably because you used the midi keyboard?
And it is mixed to loudly compared to the other instruments. Piano in trance is hardly ever really good, so when you do use it you have to do it right. The synt using at the introducting with the piano also sounds false with the piano going over it.
So really, I think this track needs a lot of polishing to become good. I liked your other tracks better, especially Bambino.
Keep up mate.
cheers,
Nomen Nescio

, I just updated the track, took some of your comments on consideration
, strings added plus a new synth giving bass support, bring ht e feedback on peep!!! :P
Hi Kopi!
Really nice intro. Nice fx and things going on. Great atmoshphere you are building up. Think maybe the snare can be a real snare with reverb maybe? Not too keen on the synth that sounds like the MIDI guitar sound but maybe thats just me
Bass can be made louder maybe and with a bit more variation perhaps?? Just a thought. Nice transition into the 4/4 part. Classic sounding/ Bass could be a bit more defined here too? And percussion maybe a bit more present in the mix. Not so in the background?
Nice chinese sounding pluck too. Synth over this is nice but I could suggest that you put a bit of filter on it to vary it a bit. Make it even more complex and intricate?
Liking the groove a lot though. Not a bad job at all
.
Keep on at it mate!
Hey.
-Nice pad at the intro. Reminds me of an 80s style FM string, kinda Foreigner style.
-The train wistles and bells are nice touches, good for ambience.
-This track keeps sounding more and more 80s :P. I love it. The congas are really fitting.
-Enigma kinda triplet beat along with the opera vokes are good.
-Saxophone? Nice choice. I Play alto sax and rarely hear them in any songs any more
. Your getting an A jsut for that :P.
-Good pluck sounds. Kinda thin though. Might beef them up by turning up the low frequencies on it.
-Bassline is pretty nice as well.
-Kinda dies off and becomes dance. It would be nice if you had a better transition
. Piano style like Falming June maybe?
-Good drum loops with the pads. Very soothing.
-Bassline seems a little quiet compared to the pads but thats just a preference.
-Good atmospheric type stuff.
-The pluck comes in again and Im reminded that I wish it were fuller :P. Mayber even go full electric like AvB - Yet Another Day?
-Good piano
. You should use a bit of that as a transition, let it disappear for a while and bring it back in.
-Good trance chords but they are a bit overshadowed by the piano.
-The piano is good but the mids and lows on it are a bit much. EQing pianos can be difficult. For this particular song, I'd almost recomend taking off most of the low end on the piano to clean it up, make it sound more ethereal like the rest of the track.
-Mmm, well the melody goes for a while then just dies into the dance loop? I'd probably leave a trance chord going or something to tie it together better.
Overall, good track. Could use some minor touchups. The tracks overall feel is fairly minimalistic but I like that. Its progressive yet not overpowering and borderline hardstyle, just nice and relaxing and progressive
. Get those touchups made and you have a really good track. One last thing you might do is extend it though. Theres not nearly enough melody going on, it only lasts for a few minutes and the track is over
.
Grade A (good but still needs work + saxophone use)
Cheers,
Zac

, after a lot of thinking, I deleted the second part, and made the New Age(The first Part) a whole track, prolly I will use the second part, to do another track, I extended a lot the first part, now it is 6:00 long, and I am really happy how finished, and about the sax, it sounds like a sax but is a shak!
, also there's a Gaita, I hope u listen to this Totally New Version, all the track now is New Age/Chill Out
.
Excellent Chill out track.
Went straight to my Chillout collection.
Technically excellent in my ears.
All the best

I second nemesis... excellent pad on the intro... the FX and the e-piano sound really good to me... the sax, chinese, and bagpipe things don't do it for me too much, but the melodies are fine...
good work... *wonders where you got the opening pad from*
very nice track kopi
I've taken a second listen to your track,
I really like those strings/pads the track starts off with...
EQ/Mastering sounds great so far.
Yeah those pads/strings do sound "80s" and that is exactly what I like about them,
classic sound, ive been trying to find more classic pads and strings lately to include in my tracks myself.
-Kenidel Lopez
Hm I posted a review here.. which was for the wrong track.. I will listen to it and give a review right after work

oi, i listened to what you sent me....
i think it was only the intro though...
kinda don't like that brass sound...percussion shows a lot of improvement, though it could probably be louder

, about the drums, I want them to be very discretes, almost into the background, so feels more ambient than chill out
, thanx for ur feedback
.

except for the instrument that comes in at 3:57 i really enjoyed this nice chillout.
the instrument at 3:57 doesnt have anything inherently wrong, it just sounds kinda computerish compared to the rest of the sounds (maybe try some more patches / layers / effects to make it feel more full... maybe even simple stereo width on it would improve it because it's really mono right now)
good work.
