CP24 got it...
A man was sent to hospital early Sunday morning after he was shot outside of a nightclub at Dundas and Beverly.

It happened around 5am at Film Lounge. The 33-year-old victim underwent surgery at St. Michaels hospital his injuries arent considered to be life threatening.

Police said there were several people in the area when the shooting happened and theyre appealing for witnesses to come forward.

Been to Film.
VERY sketchy...a cleaner version of Comfort Zone. (or so I'm told anyway...I'm proud to say I've never been to the Zone)

Not surprised this happened...but when DO shootings surprise you anymore...

I was there...

story goes like this-
some peeps wanted to toke and I took them to my regular smoke spot the top most flight of stairs at Film. So we hide up there and they're all nervous as this is their first visit to my spot. We hear a commotion downstiars and there were some popping noices too. My friends reassure me that they were not gun shots and we continued to smoke as we wanted it to calm down before we went back into the club. The commotion got louder and we all got nervous when the bouncers ran to where we were and started hollering at us to go all the way down to the smoking area and stay there. We obeyed - but there was too much confusion and one of my very streetwise friends finally snapped an said we needed to get out and we made our quick exit with all kinds of people runningin various directions.

Out of 5 friends only four of us got out thanks to our Designated driver who had ran out and got the car ready to take off. Then we go to one of our houses and calm our nerves while we wait for friend # 5. Finally at about 6am, the last warrior arrived, soaked and shaking like a leaf due to the cold, not to mention his nerves. We find out from him that they were all check-out by cops before being allowed to go home and YES! those were in fact gun shoots we heard. That was it! as soon as he was calm, we all scaterred to our own homes, exchausted.

Whoa! our joint saved us as we were in fact walking up the staircase as the fight broke up. thank god the shooter did not run upstairs towards us....sigh!

and this was my second time at Film and my jacket is still there so I need to go back to claim it.

p/s back to the valium I've been taking since that horrible night (j/k)

I am chilling until Scumfrog or Danny T. as this is wayyyyy too much.

That's really frightening.
I was at The Docks a few years ago when a guy was killed at a hullabaloo.
The police did the same thing, they didn't let anyone leave until they got statements.
Then they followed it up and called everyone who was there at home within a few weeks.
Hopefully they do something as thorough this time and catch them.
