Pictures: Montreal at night without a tripod
I was about to join some friends at a club and the rain had stopped, seeing how the Place Ville Marie looked awesome, I decided to take some quick shots without a tripod at ISO1600 and ISO3200.
As it turns out, it wasn't a bad idea after all. After I had finished with Aria, I decided to go around near la tour de la bourse for some more shots at around 430am.
Enjoy!

Malek, how'd you manage that without a tripod? Were you using the Canon IS lens? Cause those look super sharp!

I'm going to NYC in a month and I know a place where they sell it cheap...I've read som great reviews but you're the photo man |

| Originally posted by malek It really depends on what you planning on shooting, its not the ideal lense for clubs and its not that wide ( i love wides ). But it has a great zoom nonetheless and IS helps alot. are you going to B&H in NY? |
Yo celle de la brume et l immeuble est trop SICK Malek! Your pics are really awesome...the streets look like a hollywood set...foggy night, humid desert streets!!
I would've get the 17-85 IS but its 200$ more expensive :/

....by the way (since I'm still leaning) how do you tell which ones are wider? (lower mm = wider?)
Isn't that Charest's office building? I'm unsure, but if it is his office building, that evil smoke around it looks brilliant. hehehe
