just a quick Q regarding soft-drummachines

Technically, its possible to make a drum-based track (e.g. tribal tracks) using the drum machines in reason/fruity etc without the need for a midi controller or anything rite..

I mean just by layering drums and adding diff kinds of em..

just wanna clarify that...

=)

Yeah, you can make great tracks with nothing but a sampler. Redrum is still a sampler, and fruity will let you load in your own sounds, so you're not really using a drum machine in the traditional sense.

Heaps of tracks are made using sampling only (techno for one).

You can still make melodies on Reason and fruity without a midi controller you know. Just use the mouse to draw in the notes in the piano roll.
