Read This! Does this seem strange to you?

Sure seems trange to me...

Now...not that there's anything wrong with that, but...I don't walk around holding hand with my buddies

Michael Moore should be all over this!

Yeah that's what I meant ...I meant strange in a really funny way

i've heard from friends that have lived in Saudi and UAE that in the middle east men hold hands when they walk beside each other or after they shake hands - it's a custom i guess, just looks funny to us

I'm not meaning to poke fun of cultures, it's just that with everything that's going on in the world and the middle east and everything that was exposed in the Farenheight 9/11 documentary...it's funny to see these two cozy up together...

Posted by pinkphantasm on Apr-25-2005 21:33:

i totally agree

Posted by zoogla on Apr-25-2005 21:41:

No matter how much bad publicity there will be, the Saudi family will always pown the Bush family..."WHO'S YOUR DADDY?" (as per Farenheit 9/11)

This is to the detriment of the Saudi family itself because of the domestic terror attacks it is facing on their own soil from the grass-roots level...

EDIT:
There is hope, however, that some day Saudi Arabia will be a democratic nation so that all the surpressed voices that are lashing out against the royal family will be able to participate in the government and (hopefully) weed out the corruption that currently exists. There have already been some major advances for women's rights, which although still decades behind the west (note that women didn't have equal rights in the west until the 20th century), is a major step in the right direction.

Holding hands pales in comparison to Saudi Arabia's tight grip on American's balls. Guess you don't have much say when Saudi's are the largest investors in your country.

Bingo.

Men kissing is also common in that culture.

and note to those who dislike the Saudi royal family: the only alternative at this time is Usama Bin Laden.... actually, Bin Laden's main goal - even more than terrorism - is gaining control of Saudi Arabia and its oil.

i love nothing more than giving my friends (male and female alike) a good hug and high-five to start and end the nite out.

i see nothing wrong with people showing friendship/trust/goodwill.

Posted by Stingray on Apr-26-2005 03:22:

In Greece nodding you head means "no"!!!

How confusing can that get!?

I have petitioned (many times) the UN to pass a global resolution to make International Sign Language the earth's first language.

Problems as described would be avoided completely if this was the case.
