I think you are about 8 years too late for this one.

The indian authorities cleaned up that place a long long time ago. So unless you want to meditate with a bunch of wierdos, its not a suggestion at this point.

lol i have no idea what u mean

GOA is still one of the top 3 places in the world to go on new years ... the best seafood you can ever eat, and the parties are crazy ... the 2 most famous ones are discovalley and hilltop which goes on for 4 days ... the best time to visit would be between december -feb ... thats wen the parties and clubs are in full swing ... the hippies are still there its just that the seen has become very commercial and people from all over who have no clue end up coming but the best part is the crowd is so diverse

ps: if you planning a trip there you might wanna come up north to this hillstation called kasaul ... its just a bunch of villages and cafeterias clustered together where people just sit and smoke it up the whole day ... its famous for the best hash in the world

raveed,

How much money do you think one would spend for a few days of debauchery in Goa?

Also, if not going in the peak season of December - February, is it still worth it to go? (I'm thinking like Feb-May)

Goan women are on the whole the most beautiful women...i know I'm with one..... Goa was featured in the indian/british film "Bride and prejudice" in a beach club scene....I guess maybe party life still exists

Posted by LKD on Apr-27-2005 03:24:

the opening scene in Bourne supremecy is in Goa too....

dont mean to be biased but the untouched beaches in goa are the most mesmerizing ones ull ever see

well you could still go but i dont think the night life will be so good and the place is awfully quiet during of peak ...and tickets to india are usually between $1500 - $2000 us unless you can find a good travel agent who could sort you out for around $1200 to bombay and from there you could either fly or take a train to goa.. these prices are in american by the way ... a hotel there can range from nething to $10 - $1500 with ten dollars being in the huts near the beach thats where most college kids stay neway ... a good side to look up hotels would be http://www.indiahotels.com/goa-hotels/

btw here some pics from hilltop on new years
