Mass MP3 decoding
Ok,
At work we're hosting an electronic poetry site for an organization. We have a radio station set up for them and we are wanting to take all their electronic poetry and make it the same bitrate. We need to decode them all to the same bitrate.
We have both Macs and PCs here and are in search of a program that would make it the easiest to decode 1,600 mp3s of the oddest stuff you've ever heard.
A drag & drop program would prolly work best, but i came to yall looking for any suggestions you might be able to offer on ths project!
thanks producer and audiophile community!

check out right click mp3 its old dont know if its still around but might be.
right click is an older one but you might try AbyssAudio Converter aswell theres also one called radioactive or something that allows you to do batch encoding aswell and thats really what your after is the abilty to batch encode the files to mp3.
I'd recommend dBpowerAmp! It's free, and has a right-click operation. Just select the files you need encoded, right-click, "convert to..", and select your bitrate etc - and you're good to go!
You can find it at www.download.com
thanks for the ideas guys
i read alot of CONS with the dBpower Amp on download.com and the editorial review says its not good for batch conversion.
@ZxZDeViLZxZ: no luck in finding anything called radioactive...
really interested tho
thanks for the help

try maybe audioactive i think thats the company that made it and its high quality encoding and very good batch encoding so might try some of their software.
razor lame. its the best encoder and decoder out there right now. last icheck used for all scene standard stuff.
i dont belive quality is the main thing i belvie he mostly needs something that he cna load a 1500 clips into and let it batch encode them.
