Do i have any hockey fans here?
Hey guys i was a avid hockey player from age of 5 till i moved here to NYC. Does anyone watch it on tv(well used to watch it) or play for that matter. I am thinking about joining a summer roller hockey league and was wondering if anyone knows of some places i can go. Maybe we could join a team together or something.. I played at a national level, but i havent had skates on in over a year and I am horribly over weight, soo im sure i wont be jumping back in the hot seat any time soon, but a mellow slower less competitive game may be my style for now..
Hit me up...

hockey is the shit. i used to play roller hockey all through junior high and was in a league. i was a pretty decent goalie and defenseman, but i havent roller bladed in over 5-6 years, so i definitely suck now haha.
Hmm maybe to start we should all just go skating lol.....

there are leagues in NYC at Chelsea Pier. You can call over there and get info.
I know there are also leagues on Staten Island. Depending on where in Brooklyn you are, either NYC or SI may be easier for you.
Played from middle school up until high school. Travel teams, high school team, summer camps up at West Point and Lake Placid, tournaments all over the east coast and was favored to be the starting goaltender for The Empire State Games.
Ahhh...used to live for that damn sport but due to an idiotic drunk stunt I pulled when I was headed into my senior year of HS I can no longer play. Miss it...BIG TIME!
Cosmokid is right on...Staten Island has the best roller hockey leagues around. Lots of my friends play and believe it or not Staten Island used to be the hotbed for hockey in the city.
If your looking for an ice league...NJ is the way to go. Have friends that play out there and the competition is ridiculous. Retired professionals & former junior players play in the leagues out there.
what hockey?
yeah...I miss the NHL
hm how does one do the hockey stop anyway? i always use t-stop on ice too
Go sing up at Chelsea Piers i used to play there a few years back and really enjoyed it...

i used to play Ice hockey, right wing, I used to love it. Alas my hockey days have ended 4 years ago...
And I miss hockey.. I'm so upset about not having hockey but truck towing competitions get airtime?
...Rednecks..
I'm happy that the NHL season was canceled, i never really liked watching hockey highlights on sportscenter
I have been to a few Devils games and it is much better to see the game live than on TV.

i would say we should all go on a team together, but im like out of shape and money is tight right now... but i would join a team with u guys in the future if you're all still interested...
Anywhere we can just play a pick up game? I have almost enough gear for two people. Sooo lets get this thing going... We are all out of shape sooo that puts us all on pretty much the same level lol....
I'm a hockey fan here. My team's the AHL Worcester IceCats (their mascot's in my sig). I sad that they'll be leaving Worcester to Peoria, Illinois for next season.
Hopefully, the city of Worcester'll get a new team at the DCU Centre for 2005-06.
zzzzzzzz
Im glad its no longer a professional sport!!
