Livejournal

Does anyone have one?

Does anyone kind of find it a little contradictory that a journal should be live and broadcasted over the internet?

Wouldnt that only be contradictory is it was like an "online diary"...?

bc isnt a diary basically a journal, but one thats really private and generally for your eyes only??

a personal journal is a personal journal, be it kept private to yourself, posted on the web for the world to read or just written on any old lined paper!

I could NEVER understand these livejournal/xanga/blogeerrss

why do i want to read someone's emo life... and why do i want people to read about mine?

Posted by loca on Apr-27-2005 19:45:

I have one but it's my own site. I used to use livejournal but i didn't like the fact that i couldn't customize it fully to what i wanted

I actually do mine because i can't be arsed to tell all my friends what's going on that day/week/month in msn. So if they want to see what's happening with me all they have to do is go on my site

It's pretty useful i find

You and me both. 99% of LJs I've seen are attention-whoring.

That's like asking why someone would have a journal at all. There are options to have friend only and to have no one read it at all so you won't be reading about someones "emo" life unless you associate with them.

PS if anyone wants mine then add me I'm r0b_s. Friends only so let me know if you add me, I get bored of not having anyone I know on LJ.

I used to hand-write journals all the time but I can write faster and better on computers so....I got an LJ two years ago - it's nice to be able to write in it wherever I am as well as privatize what I do not want read.

And, for those of us with friends all over the frickin' place, it's a good way to keep up on how they are, what they're doing, etc.
