Swirl (All The Info).

I am putting up another tread for Swirl because "someone" was very unhappy with the fact that I was completing his tread with additional information. So I decided to start my own tread with all the info on the first page so people dont have to look for it on 14 different pages collecting it piece by piece. And the person in question will no longer feel that I am taking over his tread.

Here is the info :

The event will take place Sunday may 22nd at
The Montreal Olympic Stadium.

As far as tickets go :

Regular tickets are available at 65$
And VIP bracelets are available at 25$.
The VIP bracelet doesnt make you skip the line-up.
There are 2 types of VIP bracelets Hip Hop and Techno/Trance
And it give you access to only the designated VIP Area not
both VIP Areas.
The VIP Areas are locates besides the DJ Booth in the Techno/Trance
room and in front of the stage in the Hip Hop. So having a bracelet will
give you the occasion to see your favourite artists or DJs from a closer distance
but that is the only advantage the VIP bracelet grants.

For any questions or if you want to buy Tickets and/or VIP bracelets.
e-mail or call me.
E-mail: [email protected]
Cell: (514) 707-3333 (Alex)

This 12 hour event will fulfill all pleasure-seekers with its impressive line-up of international talent showcased in both rooms, as well as live HipHop performers

ROOM 1: House / TechnoTrance
Armin Van Buuren (Holland),
A progressive trance DJ and producer whose cinematic sound is influenced by synth pioneers like Klaus Schulze and Jean-Michel Jarre, Armin van Buuren describes his musical style as euphoric, uplifting, melodic and energetic. He enjoys worldwide recognition and a frantic schedule that takes him all over the globe.
Christopher Lawrence (LA),
Touted as one of America's top uplifting trance DJs and producers, Christopher Lawrence is recognized worldwide due to his impressive production skills, coupled with his ability to take international dance floors by storm with his tough progressive and sleek techno trance sets.
Chris Liebing (Germany),
After rockin' the decks for over 10 years, Frankfurt's Chris Liebing is now Germany's most admired techno producer and DJ. His sound is pumping, hard, driving, minimal and groovy. The result is so precise and fine-that it's no overstatement to say that he is one of biggest stars of European Techno.
Blank & Jones (Germany) and more
Since their beginnings in house in the late 90s to their massive success in the trance arena, Piet and Jaspa have been at the forefront of trance ever since. Refined beats and compelling electronic grooves take over the scenery as their hypnotizing tracks and soundscapes bring listeners under their spell.
Local Techno DJ : Marco G. (Will open the event but play a shorter than 2 hour set).

ROOM 2: HipHop
Nas (NY) performing live,
Heralded instantly as one of New York's leading rap voices, Nas has been a lyrical standard-setter and visionary. He has steadfastly elevated his game, broadened his perspective and refused to allow success to mute his revolutionary message of faith, the streets, family, retribution, intelligence and rap's ultimate power.
Beatnuts (NY) performing live
These Corona Queens moved from being strictly producers to making some action on the other side of the mixing boards as well. They are best known for their hip-hop funky nasty music. This latino underground crew isn't scared of telling it as it is and their words and music remain unmatched.
Tony Touch (NY)
An icon in hip-hop ever since he entered the game as a b-boy back in '82, Tony has touched every aspect of the culture, whether it be as a DJ, an MC, a producer or a b-boy. If Tony "touches" it, it's guaranteed to go gold.

The Local Hip Hop DJ's :
Arabica
Chemistry
Kwite Sane
Short Cut
Quest
Majess

Considering the amount of Hip Hop DJs (9)
Due to the fact that the artists perform with their own DJ's.
The DJ rotation in the Hip Hop Room will be every 1:30
So be careful not to miss the ones you wanted to hear.

I'd imagine the guy who wrote the afterhour review thread would know better than this.

(Unless, of course, you're being sarcastic. In which case, allow me to apoligize in advance.)

Hello,

I'm looking to purchase a ticket. But I'm like 2000 miles away and Le Rseau Admission isn't mailing tickets out. I don't want to take the chance of waiting to get to Montreal to buy tickets and know body can tell me if they'll be accepting E-tickets at the door.

Any suggestions....

The party will take place in 2 big rooms inside the building that are usually used for car shows and things like that. Because the roof of the room is not high like the Bell centre, The sound will be alot better.

Posted by malek on Apr-29-2005 18:59:

makes sense, better control of the sound environment.
