I dont listen to punk on my own free time but I thoroughly enjoy going to my buddies punk rock shows and mosh! He is in a local band around here so I guess you could consider it underground punk or "real" punk as he likes to call it. Good times, great oldies!

dont u see the point with it? as some famous surfer once said: surfing and punkrock, what more do you really need? this is freedom, and thats what its all about.

and i agree.. that is freedom. ofcourse you could wish girls as well, but then u'd have to take away the freedom part.

as i see it, the genre aint supposed to be "deep", it's all about feeling free and feeling great.

note: im talking about punkrock..

i just don't really think many of the punkrock i've heard lends much to the talents of the bands making it. the vocals are usually uninspiring and while they do play their instruments well, i don't really like the style...

i worked security at a Bad Religion concert once and meh...i was soooo bored hehehe

actually, many of them stick to quite basic chords and stuff, it's not advanced in any way.. though, for me, it doesnt matter how technically skilled someone is, it's the music that matters.

That would be punk ska. It's the real happy hardcore. It's like they're completely angered by the fact that they're happier than anyone else.
